HAPPY BIRTHDAY ANDREW!
Today is my baby boy's birthday. Time sure has flown by. I still feel like he is my little baby, except now my little baby bites, crawls, and tackles me. He has been such a joy to have, and the perfect balance for our family. Happy Birthday Drew Man!
This was the last photo taken before I had him. It was three days before he came.

Rainy Day
A few days ago it was a beautifully rainy day. Rainy days always make me want to bake. I had never made homemade Cinnamon rolls before, so I thought I would give it a whirl. It may have been a mistake though. I am addicted now.
P.S.- Note to all you Rexburgians. Jon will be up there next week to recruit for his company during the career fair. If you want to say howdy, go check it out and try to find him. It could be like Where's Waldo but for funner!

Dad Fiesta
Is that an alien attacking? No, my friends. That is a perfect example of a hot air balloon you would see at the Annual Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta. That's right! Every year a whole bunch of balloonists gather to the Land of Enchantment to fly their hot air balloons over the valley. It looks like we are being invaded by locusts in some of the pictures, but it will give you an idea of truly how crazy people are about ballooning here. It is like some sort of religion. I took Mikayla balloon chasing, and there were tons of other people doing the exact same thing. And if you actually want to get into the park where they hold balloon activities, be prepared to sit in traffic for at least an hour. It was so fun though!
Alien Balloon
Balloons were landing all around Jon's project site.
Fire. Need I say more?
Yeah, that's not a distraction to drivers at all!

While my Dad was in town, we took him up to Santa Fe. In front of the cultural center, all sort of Native Americans set out blankets with hand made jewelry and crafts to sell. It is amazing!
Me and Mikayla
They have a church down there that was established in the 1500s. This is a picture of the inside.
Check out the stain glass windows
Look how gorgeous it is in Santa Fe. I love it! It's only an hour away too.
The is the outside of the old Catholic church. They are renovating it right now in preparation for the 400th anniversary of their parish.

Cute Kids
Tag, you're it!
I am sure you are all tired of hearing about me. I know that I am tired of talking about me. This is the last boring thing you will have to read about me for awhile. I was tagged by Tara. So here it goes...
1. I am deathly afraid to ride on escalators and elevators. I had a freak accident on an escalator when I was a child. I fell down an "up" escalator, so it was like the fall that would never end. Jon always laughs at me because whenever I have to ride one, it takes me like five minutes to board it because I am so paranoid. As for the elevator, I am always afraid it will break down with me on it. Some of them are so small I feel like I am running out of air. I like stairs though. Stairs are a good thing.
2. I have always wanted to go to NYC and ride in a yellow taxi. I know they are probably dirty and the drivers are probably rude, but I will do it anyway. I want it to be like HOME ALONE 2: LOST IN NEW YORK. He's like this little kid that makes riding in a taxi seem so cool.
3. I want to travel outside the country soooooo bad, but I feel like I never will. I don't know if I'd be able to justify spending a few thousand dollars just to fulfill by desire to travel. Help me get past myself, please!
4. I hate driving our new truck. I avoid it at all costs. It is too wide, too long, and I look too little in it. I also kind of feel like a hick when I drive it. I just can't pull off the "country girl" or "working girl" thing. I just feel and look stupid driving it. But, I am happy for Jon! :)
5. If I could live in any era, I would pick the fifties. I loved how they still dressed up to go into town, and spent the day making meatloaf and apple pies. I would say it would be fun to live in the renaissance time, but they didn't really have plumbing or running water. So I pick the fifties with its running water, cute poodle skirts, awesome music, trendy diners, and good old American values!
6. I absolutely HATE bugs. I hate everything about them. I am terrified of them. Whenever Mikayla finds a bug in her room, I hide behind a corner and ask her to describe it to me before I come in so i can prepare myself. usually, I can't bring myself to take care of it, so Mikayla does it for me. I'm pathetic!
7. When I was younger, I watched this episode of Unsolved Mysteries where this little boy was murdered in his bed. Of course, they hadn't caught the killer yet, which is why it was still "unsolved." I think the murder took place in some Vietnamese settlement on the other side of the country, but I was still convinced the killer was coming for me next. I used to try to fall asleep under my covers and curl up in a way that made it look like the bed was just messy and no one was there, so he wouldn't be able to find me. Yeah, like that would have worked!
