Flutterby Designs DT - Be Epic Awesome Dude

Hello!!

Today I am sharing two boy layouts from FLUTTERBY DESIGNS featuring the totally awesome Xtreme Teen collection. I have created one quite soft coloured layout with the purple and grey tones from the range . In contrast, the second layout is in your face bright yellow, white and black. Pretty cool that you can create two such extremes from the one collection.

'BE EPIC' Layout

I used a patterned paper with a soft crackle look for my background and added a lovely purple mist to co-ordinate with the photo cards I had chosen.

I layered some purple and grey filler photo cards together and added to the layout with my photo.

Some embellishments, stickers and die cut pieces completed the layout along with a cute coil of soft grey and white baker's twine.

Here's what I used:

XTREME TEEN:
'Small Stars' Wood Veneer

'AWESOME DUDE' Layout

I wanted to create a bold and 'in your face' layout this time to match the photo of my son with his fierce karate fighting face on. The yellow details in the range were perfect for this.

I began by grabbing the Orange Goldfish and Sunshine Yellow Flutter Colour Paints. I diluted them with water in a paint palette, spritzed some water onto my background cardstock and then added a wash of colour using a soft wet paintbrush. I moved the colour around a bit on my layout until I was happy with it and then allowed it to dry.

Then I layered on my filler photo cards, photo and embellishments.

I used a couple of Charm's Creations embellishments that I coloured with the same watered down paint to co-ordinate with my background.

I fussy cut some stars from a filler photo card to use as embellishments too.

Here's what I used:

XTREME TEEN:

- Orange Goldfish
- Sunshine Yellow

The Scrapbook Store DT - Echo Park Wedding Bliss 2

Hello!

I am back with my second layout share for the month for THE SCRAPBOOK STORE featuring Echo Park Wedding Bliss. And I just happen to be watching The Wedding Date on TV while I write this. Perfect!

'Our Love Story'

Just to mix things up a bit I decided to try a more simple and clean approach to this layout. I really love the papers and embellishments and wanted them and my photo to shine.

I created a two-tone effect on the chipboard heart by first painting it with white gesso and once dry, I applied Old Rose Prima Ingvild Bolme Fluid Chalk Ink.

Note the date of our wedding. Yep. April Fools' Day. I love that it was on this day.

Here's what I used:

- Puffy Heart Stickers Cotton Candy Mix

Imaginarium Designs DT - Cheeky Rabbit

Hello!!

Have you seen the June Mood Board Challenge at Imaginarium Designs?

Check this out:

How gorgeous is that?

Here's what I created.

'Cheeky Rabbit' Layout

The fresh and fun colours of the moodboard are what first caught my eye followed by that adorable origami rabbit. In fact the theme of my layout was totally based around that origami rabbit. I created a triangle of triangles on my background, gessoed over the whole lot and then coloured with Lindy's Stamp Gang Plumeria Pink Flat Magical. I die cut a couple of cute little bunnies to co-ordinate with the photo of my daughter. I added an arrow as in the inspiration board and created a fun title using various lettering. To finish I added a whole bunch of enamel dots as in the inspiration image. So much so that I call this my 'Skittles pox' layout.

I hope you get a chance to play along with the challenge too.

Check out the blog post over HERE to find out how.

The Scrapbook Store DT - Echo Park Wedding Bliss 1

Hey peeps!

This month at The Scrapbook Store I am so happy to be playing with the stunning Echo Park Wedding Bliss collection. It is such a beautiful range with lots of lovely soft pinks, cream and tan contrasting with fun black and white designs.

Here's my first layout using this fabulous range.

'Mr & Mrs'

I added some Lindy's Stamp Gang Cosmopolitan Pink Starburst Spray to the beautiful script patterned paper before layering all of the other bits and pieces.

I have layered lots of pieces of the various patterned papers for an interesting frame under the small photo of myself and my hubby on our wedding day.

I love the enamel dots pack in this range as it contains so many dots in co-ordinating colours. Here I have used the grey ones in the pack. I have added some chipboard and wood veneer pieces that have been painted with a couple of oats of white gesso and one pretty pink Prima flower.

Here's what I used:

Thanks for stopping by to check out my layout today.

Flutterby Designs DT - Just Be Cool

Hi peeps!!

Today I am sharing a layout I created for Flutterby Designs featuring the awesome Xtreme Teen collection.

'Just Be Cool' Layout

I began by adding some interest to my background using the 'Dangerously Dapper' Stencil with texture paste. Once dry I added a gorgeous wash of diluted Tropicana Teal Flutter Colour paint.

I stuck to a teal, grey, black and white theme and layered some filler cards in those colours together.

I finished by adding my photos of my son clowning around for the camera as well as my title and embellishments including a scattering of wood veneer stars.

Here's what I used:

XTREME TEEN:

- Wood Veneer Stars

Thanks for checking out my layout today. I hope you feel inspired to play with your Flutterby Designs stash too. Make sure you share your fabulous creations in the Flutterby Inspiration HQ Facebook group.
