Santa Cruz/Monterey

I think the best way to mark my return to blogging is to post about our latest trip. Last weekend we snuck over to the coast to visit one of our favorite places, Santa Cruz. SC holds lots of memories for the Hardy Party including our engagement and honeymoon. We love to take our kids there. Highlights from the trip include Manresa state beach, the famous Santa Cruz beach Boardwalk, driving down Highway 1, the amazing produce stands (from which we consumed abundant amounts of apricots, toffee peanuts, cherries, peaches, roasted almonds, and a bag of fresh garlic pistachios which were sooooo good I wish had some right now!) the monterey bay aquarium, and dennis the menace park. Here are a few of my favorite pics from the weekend.

After my years sabbatical just checking to see if the blogging world is still alive and well! I have decided that I will rejoin in a quest to document the happenings of the Hardy Party once again!

I'm Back

Alright so I'm really behind on our blog (pregnancy will do that to a woman) but I just loaded all 700 pictures from our camera so I will try and start where I left off.

Eli is still loving karate and moved up to get his gold belt.

Uncle Jimmy's Birthday

We went down to Stinson beach again, this time to celebrate Brandon's best friends' b-day. It was a great day with lots of friends! We love you Uncle Jimmy!

Women's Conference

I had the chance to go stay with my old college roommate Katie and attend Women's Conference at BYU last week. It was a great experience both being with her and getting some spiritual nourishment. Katie's Father-in-law Elder Neil Andersen was just called to be the newest member of the twelve, and we went especially to hear his wife Kathy speak. I loved getting a nice break from being a mom everyday and enjoyed the freedom of being able to listen to council uninterrupted!

Wicked

Brandon took me to San Fran to see Wicked and we LOVED it!! It was an amazing show and a great way to spend a Saturday in the city!

Pirates, Pumpkins and Princesses- A play in 3 acts

Blythe is forever the entertainer and on this day employed her brother and sister to help with her play.

I'm a big girl!

Eli loves to get his own cereal in the morning and this particular morning Tess decided that she wanted to try too. The best part was that I was getting the milk out of the fridge when I heard the bag empty! She was awfully proud of her effort!

Easter Egg Hunt

I got to watch my darling nieces on the same day as Eli's preschool egg hunt. Shae and Eli had a great time gathering eggs together and then went home to have dress up time with Tess.

Sausalito and San Francisco

A few weeks ago we took the kids down to Stinson Beach. It was a gorgeous day and they LOVED the beach. Tess in particular rolled around in the sand for hours, she was hilarious. We stayed in Sausalito for the night and took advantage of the heated pool and spa for a few hours. The next day we went into SF for some fun at the wharf. It was a great overnight trip and a nice way to celebrate Blythe's Suessical debut coming to an end.
