More pictures

Some pictures I snapped before the photographer showed up.

The Josh Harper Band

Let me just start off by saying..I have a smokin' HOT husband!!! LOL

I have been waiting all day to post these pictures, but had to wait and make sure it was ok with Josh. He told me after lunch that it was fine, so I'm posting away!

The guys met last night to have pictures made for flyers and their new myspace page (in progress). I have over 200 pictures and they turned out great! I had so much fun helping them and could tell some really funny stories but I'm afraid it would embarrass the guys and then I'd be fired.

Mark your calendars for Oct 7th...they will be playing at a benefit concert at the Pike County Fairgrounds. More info to come, I think they start playing around 6:30pm.

Pike County Rodeo

Last Saturday after the razorback game, we went to the Pike County Rodeo with Roger, Teresa, and Caleb & April, Greg, and the girls. We all had a good time, despite the muddy/wet arena. My camera is still not working right, but I did manage to get a few snapshots. The girls rode more rides after the rodeo thanks to Memaw Teresa & Papaw Roger.

Fun at the Fair

We had a good time last night at the fair. We met up with some friends and let the kids ride all the rides for almost 3 hours! At first, I told Josh that Kendall would probably get bored since there were only a few kiddie rides. Boy, was I wrong! She was just tall enough to ride the big rides but I didn't think she would ride them. SHE DID! She rode the rides that Reagon wouldn't dare get on. I thought we would never get her off the scrambler! I was a nervous wreck when she rode it for the first time and I told Josh that if she cried I was asking the lady to stop it. It started up and got faster and faster and then started slinging them from side to side and when she came by us she had the biggest smile on her face! I think she rode it three times in a row before we finally made her get off of it. We couldn't believe how much she loved the bigger rides. I finally let Josh take her around and I went with Reagon & Alexa since it made me nervous to watch her. Tonight we are going to the rodeo. Kendall is so excited. She could barely go to sleep last night thinking about the "bunkin' bulls" as she calls it!

Pike County Fair and Parade

The parade last night was great! This was probably the largest Pike County parade in years! The girls had so much fun but I think Josh had the most fun. I was near Woodard Drug store with Tara Sims and we noticed the girls and Josh coming in the little red fire engine golf cart. I laughed out loud at Josh. He should be a politician. He had a huge smile on his face and was just waving at everyone! I wish the picture would have turned out better. The golf cart is really cute and it stood out in the crowd because of the red flashing lights on the top.

Reagon and Kendall both did great on their fair entries. Reagon won two red ribbons and one 3rd place ribbon for her purses and tote bag and Kendall won a red ribbon for her oatmeal chocolate chip cookies!

Kendall had a blast last night in the show area with all the animals. She is not one bit scared of any of the animals and would have climbed over into the pig pen if Josh would have turned his eyes off of her. She is so excited about being on the show team next year. Josh was so disappointed when Reagon didn't want to show an animal this year so he will have fun working with Kendall.

My favorite time of the year!

Who says I don't have a green thumb?? =)

I am so proud of my ferns this year. I was a little worried since last year my ferns stuggled to grow. This year, all seven are still huge and such a pretty green! I can't believe my flowers are still in full bloom. I thought I would have to rotate them out with mums by now but they still look great! I'm always a little sad when the first frost makes an appearance since I have to say goodby to my beautiful porch plants. I wish I had a place to keep the ferns inside all year long. I'm looking forward to dragging out all my fall decorations this weekend. I love the fall decorating colors and all the mini gourds and pumpkins, hay bales and corn stalks, pilgrims, turkeys, scarecrows, apple carts, fall leaves.....adds such a cozy feeling to our home.

Sophie and Taylor

Are they not the cutest babies?

I LOVE my new picture!

Thanks Drowsy Beans and Miss Toodle!!

Love,
Aunt Neeno

Jed's Bed

Sounds like a Dr Seuss book!

I wanted to post some pictures of the new baby bed & bedding but I'm still having problems with my digital camera. Sorry about the blur! Hopefully, I will get my camera back in working order soon!

I can't believe I am now 29 weeks! Only 11 more weeks to go! I am just now getting uncomfortable at night and having trouble sleeping. Last night I woke Josh up a couple times asking him if he was asleep. Of course, he was (most people don't snore when they are awake)....I guess misery loves company. Everything else is going great with this pregnancy. We sure have a little football player on our hands. He kicks so much during the morning hours and late at night. He must take his naps in the daytime. Guess he is already like his daddy!

Kids, don't try this at home!

Auntie blogged about this yesterday (http://www.bassettbabes.blogspot.com/) and I've been waiting to get my camera loaded so I could post the pictures for proof that my kids have crazy uncles!! =) In case you have trouble figuring out what is going on in the picture, Trey and Caleb decided to tie the girls alligator see-saw to the back of Jas's four wheeler.

I've been having problems with my digital camera (probably over use) and for some reason the pictures are blurry.

We had a good time Sunday after church at Goosey's house. The girls rode little four wheelers and Harli's new gator and the other "kids" had fun too. Auntie and I laughed so hard. That may be the reason for the blurry pictures. I was laughing too hard to keep the camera still. Josh missed the excitement. He was asleep on the couch in the living room. I wish my pictures of Harli on her new gator would have turned out..she looked so cute driving it!

7th Heaven!!!!!

YEA YEA YEA YEA

My second favorite show of all time is returning!!! (first being 90210...but I won't go there, I still cry thinking about the day they cancelled it)

I am soooo happy 7th Heaven is coming back for another season. I got Josh hooked last season and I was in mourning after the final episode. Got this off a website today.........

The WB's cancelled family drama, 7th Heaven, may be getting a new life on the CW network. Mediaweek reported Friday that 7th Heaven, which aired its 10th season finale last week, is coming back for an 11th season in the fall. CW insiders told the trade magazine that the new network wants at least 13 new episodes of the Camden family saga. Most of the cast is expected to return, per Mediaweek. The CW will officially announce its full 2006-07 lineup, on May 18.

Third Trimester

It sounds so good to say that I am finally in the third trimester! I am now 7 months, as of yesterday! This has been a great pregnancy. Other than some mild "night sickness" early on and some back pain the last few nights, I have had nothing to complain about. I was worried since I heard so many stories about how much bigger you get with each child and especially since I am 10 years older than I was with Reagon, I was preparing for a grueling pregnancy. Thankfully, it has been smooth sailing so far.

On Monday I go to the dr for the sugar test and this week starts my 'every two week' appts. Only 12 more weeks to go! I guess you could say that I have started nesting. I like to clean anyway, but I'm a little more OCD about it now. I've been working on converting the toy closet into Jed and Kendall's closet. Reagon is happy since she now has her own closet but not so happy that she has to clean it without help from Kendall. Kendall has had lots of fun helping me set up the closet. She helps stack her shoes on one side and Jed's shoes on the other side. Believe it or not, they have about the same amount! They make some of the cutest little boy shoes! I found the sweetest little blue sleeper with care bears on it the other day and almost bought it just to see Josh's face. He would have had a fit! The girls and I have fun teasing him about the way we will dress Jed when he is not around. I told him the only time we will have trouble is on Easter. I can just picture Jed in a little yellow monogrammed short set with white knee socks and white shoes! I did make points with the razorback newborn set for Jed for Christmas!

One of my best friends from high school gave me some great maternity clothes to finish out the warmer days. Lots of Tshirts and capris. Thanks to my sisters, I have lots of jeans and sweaters for the colder weeks at the end of the pregnancy. I am so thankful for the low rise maternity jeans. 10 years ago, the only maternity jeans you could buy had a band that went up almost to your neck! They now have these great Old Navy maternity jeans with a low rise band and they are so comfortable. Well, as comfortable as they can be for maternity!

We do have the baby bed set up and ready. My parents bought a beautiful sleigh baby bed and Reagon & Kendall picked out the jungle theme bedding. I told them they could help pick it out and I was so afraid they would pick something I just didn't like but the jungle bedding is adorable and in such beautiful colors! Right now, the bed is getting good use with Kendall's baby doll Emily. I hope Jed sleeps as well as Emily does at night!

I'll try to remember to take some pictures of the bed & closet this weekend.

Labor Day Weekend

We had a nice Labor Day weekend. On Friday night we took the girls to the Mt Ida/Magnet Cove football game. The weather was nice and we enjoyed the game. Mom and Dad & Misti, Jerry and Sophie met us at the game. At the end of the game when we made it back to the car Josh said something about the game and I said "who won?". He just laughed. I guess I spent too much time visiting and playing with Sophie instead of watching the game.

On Saturday, I was up early to go to yards sales and Josh worked in the yard while Kendall slept in. Reagon had stayed the night with Nanny and Poppy after the game. Saturday afternoon we went to Landon and Kamry's birthday party in Glenwood. The party was so cute! Kevin and Alissa did a great job setting up the party. The theme was "bugs" and they had balloons and decorations everywhere and the cutest bug cake. They had little chairs set up for the birthday kids and gifts galore. We ate pizza/cake/ice cream and played with all the kids. The girls had so much fun.

Saturday night Josh and Caleb cooked up up a huge plate of deer meat and fried potatoes and anxiously awaited the Razorback game. Roger and Teresa and Drew came over to watch the game with us. I think Teresa and I made it to half time before giving up. Unfortunately, the game ended in a loss for the Razorbacks. I'm just glad we didn't spend my birthday money on tickets! I'd much rather use it at yard sales!! HA

After church on Sunday we met up with my family at my grandparents cabin on the river. We spent Sunday night and all day Monday at the cabin. We had a good time and
the girls played in the river, despite the cold water! We grilled burgers and spent most of the time passing Sophie and Taylor around. They are both at the sweetest age. They smile back when you talk to them and we all fight over holding them. We laughed about what it will be like when Jed gets here. Sophie and Taylor will probably be saying things like "Nanny, we want to play barbies and Jed won't leave us alone". Mom said it would be more like "Nanny, I want to play barbies with Sophie and Taylor but Daddy won't let me". HA HA

Hope everyone had a good holiday. My camera battery was down all weekend so I'm waiting on pictures from Alissa and Misti from the cabin and birthday party. I'll post the pictures as soon as I can.

Ready for a T-time

Josh and Reagon have recently taken up golf together. He has enrolled her in a youth camp at Glenwood for ages 9-12. A couple evenings a week he will take her to the course to practice. He said she really does a good job! Kendall is the official golf cart driver, although I think she was fired on the last trip. HA

On Monday, Josh came home with a set of clubs just for Reagon. Someone at the course had them and gave them to him for her to use. She was so excited. They went out in the yard to practice and moments later it sounded like a shotgun went off in the house. I ran to the front door and Reagon was crying her eyes out! She had busted out the dining room window. All Josh could do was laugh. He was trying to console her, telling her a story about her uncle Caleb shooting out a window when he was small. I wish I had a picture of Kendall's face. It was hilarious! She really thought Reagon was in deep trouble! I think I'll stick to scrapbooking with the girls. It's alot less dangerous!! HA I guess I'll be calling Plylers today to order a new window. I know who will be folding laundry for me for the next year!!
