5 months old

I'm anxiously awaiting Danny's Studio of Photography to open up in Glenwood so I can have Jed's 6month portraits and our family portraits made. Until then, I decided to have one more session at Sears. They didn't turn out as well as the last set, but they are cute anyway! Guess who picked out the outfit?

Cousins

I had hoped to get a better picture of the kids but they were all too excited about being dressed up and wanted to play together!

Andrea's Wedding

This weekend was Andrea's wedding. The wedding was held at Mt Harbor Resort and it was beautiful! Andrea did such a great job picking out the colors and dresses. Hopefully I will get some more pictures of the wedding party and Andrea in her beautiful dress. The setting was breathtaking....the sun set on the lake made for a gorgeous backdrop. The girls looked cute in their dresses and they were so happy to be included in the wedding. Congrats to the happy couple!

Easter 2007

I'm finally getting around to posting the Easter pictures. We really enjoyed Easter this year, despite the cold temps! We woke up super early for sunrise service on Easter morning and then had a huge breakfast at

church. After the breakfast we had the Easter egg hunt at church during the regular sunday school service time. We had a huge group of kids and the cold weather didn't seem to slow them down at all. I stayed inside with Jed....he didn't get to hunt eggs on his first Easter! =( I was so anxious for him to wear a little blue short set with smocking across the front and his little white tall socks and white shoes but because of the weather, he had to wear a little sweater outfit. As soon as it warms up, I'm taking him to the lake to have his pictures made in the outfit. He looks adorable in it (even if his Dad can't stand it! LOL)

After church we went back to Mom and Dad's house to visit with Sophie and Taylor Ann on their first Easter. Mom cooked a delicious Easter lunch...a huge ham with dressing and baked beans. I ate so much dressing I nearly made myself sick!

Sunday night was footwashing at church and it is such a wonderful experience. I washed Kendall's feet and I was so happy to share in that experience with her. We talked about the true meaning of Easter and I hope we made it the main focus of our day. So many time we are guily of cluttering the holidays with gifts and new outfits and forget the reason we celebrate. Christ is Risen!!! Hope you all enjoyed Easter.

BabyFirst Tv

There is a new channel on Dish Network especially for babies. It's a payperview channel but a couple weeks ago they ran a 24hr free review to try to get you to purchase the package. I set the dvr and recorded almost every episode. The other day I decided to try it out on Jed. I placed him in his walker and turned the program on. He was sooo funny to watch. He never took his eyes off the show. Thankfully, we have several hours worth of programming recorded so we don't have to pay for the channel. I usually let him watch about 5 minutes a day....that's about the limit he will stay in the walker, anyway!

This is the info on the program.......

BabyFirstTV features more than 40 programs specifically tailored to meet the needs of infants and toddlers. The program content focuses on areas of development ranging from language and math, to sensory skills to creative play. BabyFirstTV helps inform parents about the educational value of each segment with its unique color-coded system. The BabyFirstTV flower logo changes colors according to the specific content in the program

Bike Wreck x 2

Before anyone thinks bad of me for taking a picture of my daughter after a bike wreck, she told me "take a picture of my skin so I can show Nanny". It was so funny! The skinned up elbow wreck happened earlier in the day and then a couple hours later she came back inside crying with skinned up knees to match! It would help if she didn't ride a hundred miles an hour down the dirt rode and off the chicken house slope! She is a little daredevil......and the wrecks only slowed her down for about 5 minutes.

Bowling snapshots

Some more snapshots from bowling night

Bowling

After Sophie's birthday party we told the girls that we were going to do something fun to reward them for their good report cards. They picked bowling. Josh was hoping for a movie since he was craving popcorn and I was hoping for a trip to the mall to spend their report card money but they were set on bowling. We had such a fun night! As you can tell by the score, we are pretty pitiful bowlers but we enjoyed the game anyway! Josh and I tied which was so funny since we were both trying hard to beat each other. Jed was perfect the entire time. He kept watching all the people and flashing lights. We went to the bowling alley closest to the mall...can't think of the name of it...but is is super family friendly with no smoking and no alcohol which was very important to us. There were several families and little kids bowling that night. The owners said that Sunday afternoons is Family Christian Bowling and they play christian music and have "fellowship" with all the other bowlers. That sounds like a lot of fun for youth groups between church services. After bowling, we stopped off for ice cream. Josh and I decided that Saturday was our "cheat day" on our diet and you can tell by the picture that Josh did it up right!

Sophie's First Birthday Party

Saturday night we made the trip to Hot Springs for Sophie Lauryn's first birthday party. The party was held in the Centerfork church gym..great place for a party..lots of room for the kids to play and a nice kitchen area. Misti did such a wonderful job on the decorations. The cake was made by Ambrosia bakery and I had to try hard not to eat too much...it was delicious! Sophie received so many nice gifts. She went a hundred miles an hour, trying to keep up with all the party guests until she finally just gave it up. She was soooo tired by the end of the party. Sophie looked like a little doll. I can't get over her cute curly hair!

Misti said she was so exhausted at the end of the party and she slept till 8:30am the next morning. We had a great time at her party and love our little Sophie so much!
