Getting ready for deer season
Jed was standing at the back door this morning yelling "Wait on Me!!".....Josh was warming up the truck and Jed thought he was leaving.
Going to the deer woods with Daddy! What a happy boy!
Last night the girls were in the back yard with Josh target practicing for Saturday's youth hunt. Jed was so mad at me for not letting him go with them. He refused to look at the camera. He is hiding behind Pepper and Pepper looks like he is really protecting him! LOL

Another busy weekend
We had another busy but fun weekend! Friday night we stayed home and worked on unpacking boxes. Reagon decided she no longer liked all the pink/purple/neon green girly things in her room so now she has a Razorback room. It's been four years since we changed up her room but I still didn't want to get rid of some of her things. My friend, Ladonna has been doing alot of spray painting so I took her lead and picked up several cans of red and black spray paint. I don't know why I didn't think of this before. The spray paint worked great on her baskets. The best part..it was cheap! I've spent $3 so far on her room....not counting the bedding but that was an early Christmas gift. I found this huge mirror a while back at Family Dollar marked down to $10 but never could find a good place for it. Now, with a little black spray paint it looks great in Reagon's room. Josh was laughing at me today...I was just walking all around this house looking for something else to spray paint! LOL He told Ladonna last night that thanks to her, our back deck looked like a welder's shop! LOL
Saturday after Kendall's cheer game, we attended the schools fall festival. Kendall and Jed had so much fun in the bounce house. Jed thought he was so big bouncing around like all the other kids.

Go Fish Second Grade Musical
Yesterday was a busy day! After spending the first part of the morning working and trying to get some boxes unpacked, I left home at noon to attend Kendall's Go Fish 2nd grade musical. She looked so cute singing with her class. After the musical I stayed for the elementary awards assembly. You can see her below holding her honor roll ribbon. After the awards assembly, I picked up Reagon and grabbed a quick bite to eat and then it was parent teacher conference time for both girls. I am so proud of them. They are both doing great in school. Reagon's teacher was very impressed with how smart she is. I told her she has been that way since she was born. Next year she will start college prep classes..in the 7th grade!!! We started them in the 10th grade many moons ago. I am so proud of Reagon. She is such a hard worker and will study for hours without being told. You can find her in her bedroom with her books reading at just about any time of the night. She has been doing a lot of thinking already about college. She has been reading up on accountants and nurse practitioners. I told her that she could do absolutely anything she wanted. She is smart enough and disciplined enough for anything. After PT conferences I ran home to change clothes and visit with Josh and Jed before going to Norman to a women's night at First Assembly. My good friend Charissa was the guest speaker and she did a wonderful job. I came back home in time to eat supper (that my sweet husband cooked) and play with the kids before bedtime. Josh had already started laundry, cooked supper, had the kids in the bath and started them on homework. I thank God that he is such a good husband and father. My camera didn't take very good pictures in the gym yesterday but you can see Kendall below...she is below the shark fin in the musical pics.

Unpacking....
We are completely moved and settling in.
We still have tons of boxes to unpack but I am taking my time with that.
This is my helper. He has life made! LOL He woke up late and then spent most of the morning on his pallet watching Handy Manny and eating breakfast. What a life! Notice the blue marker on his face....he decided to draw in my office last night after his bath.
More pictures to come of our new place. We love it!

Aly Fall Fellowship night
Saturday night was Fall Fellowship night at church. We had such a good time. We served chili and hot dogs with all the extras and the kids enjoyed decorating pumpkins and the hay ride. We had close to 60 people attend.
Josh didn't think the boys would like decorating pumpkins at my craft table but they loved it! Check out the horse drawing below from one of our little cowboys. The boys seemed to enjoy this more than the girls.

Moving Day
Remember this just a week ago?
Now, it finally looks like this
Moving day is finally here. When I think back on the last three months, it seems almost a blur. I can't believe this happened so fast and at times, seemed so slow.

There are so many things about this house I'm going to miss. I love the high ceilings, wood floors, walk in closets, stainless appliances, large bedrooms, big office, all the space, the front porch, the kitchen island, all the cabinet space, the rock fireplace......the list goes on and on. I truly love this house but I love the Lord even more and if he says "go" then I am going! Besides, I don't think I would fare well in the belly of a fish..I have a weak stomach.
We are all excited about this new journey. Please keep our family in your prayers.

Every year I try to participate in the annual "fall into reading" blog reading challenge. This year with all the moving and chaos around here, my list is very short. The two books I picked are:The Love Dare
and
The Shack (recommended by my sister Misti and Tenille)
Now, if I can just stay awake at night to read. As soon as I open the first page, I drift off to sleep!!! LOL

Prayers Needed.....Hannah Sullivan
As most of you already know, my brother-n-law coached girls basketball last year at Magnet Cove. Pictured above on the right is Hannah, a Junior at magnet cove high school this year. Her father, Brad Sullivan is Magnet Cove's high school principal and he is close friends with my brother-n-law.My sister is asking for prayers for Hannah and her family. Several months ago Hannah was experiencing terrible headaches that turned out to be a brain tumor which was removed at Childrens hospital. Since then she has been on the road to recovery up until just recently. A routine brain scan found more tumors...2 at the base of her neck and 9 on her spine...and the tumors are cancer. I am not sure of the specific type of cancer. She is now receiving radiation at CARTI in Little Rock and will receive chemotherapy after that. Her sister Bethany is in the picture with her (Hannah is on the right). The doctor said she will definitely lose her hair with this chemo as she hasn't in the past. Her dad is Brad Sullivan-high school principal at Magnet cove and her mom is Jill-speech pathologist at Magnet Cove school. They attend Hot Springs Baptist Church.
Please add Hannah to your church prayer list!!!
UPDATE>>Hannah's cancer is glioblastoma
Psalm 91:9-10, 14-16
If you make the Most High your dwelling-- even the LORD, who is my refuge--then no harm will befall you, no disaster will come near your tent. "Because he loves me," says the LORD, "I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name He will call upon me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him. With long life will I satisfy him and show him my salvation."

Weekend review
We really enjoyed the weekend. We did no packing and no cleaning. We really should have but we were just tired of it and wanted to get away from it all. The only cleaning anyone did around here was Jed.
Oh, and he did some repairs too! (I didn't put the cowboy hat on him. This is his new obsession to go along with his boots!)
Friday morning I dropped the girls off at school and decided to go to a few yard sales. Josh wasn't as excited about my yard sales finds, especially since we are supposed to be packing and moving instead of buying more! I couldn't resist this $3 wicker chair. It needs some repair but I like it....a few cans of spray paint and some tlc and this will look great on a front porch. Not sure whos front porch since I will no longer have one. LOL Anyway, it's on the way to the storage bldg with all my other "I'm going to fix someday" projects. My little model puts his shoes on with no help...can you tell?
On my shopping list for Saturday was a new pair of Wrangler jeans for Jed. I had just sold all of his 1T Wranglers on ebay and he has so many pairs of boots..wranglers are a must have for this little boy. Anyway, they usually sell for about $25 a pair and I planned on buying him a pair Saturday afternoon and then another pair for his birthday. Well, guess what I found on Friday morning. 7 pair of wranglers in size 2T and 3T for 50cents each! Only one pair had a stain on them. I couldn't believe it.
I love these little jeans! Can't wait to dress him up with his ropers and his shiny belt buckle.
Another one of my storage bldg yard sale finds. I love this. It is really big but it's hard to tell from the picture. It was only $1.50 and I think it would look great with a large burnt orange pillar candle in the center for fall decor. Too bad I have no place to put it!!! There is always next year....
Friday was spirit day at school to get ready for homecoming. Kendall and all her cheer friends were planning on wearing their new cheer shirts to school with their uniform skirts. Well, knowing my daughter and how rough she plays, there was no way I would have let her wear her $80 suit to school. The white would have been black at the end of the day. She wasn't too happy with me so I decided I had better come up with a plan and fast. She has a favorite pair of old navy jeans that she would wear every day if I let her and to be honest, they had just about gone their last mile. I was getting tired of spraying 'shout' on them every other day and soaking them in oxy clean at least once a week. Especially since she has 8 other pair of the same exact jean in her dresser (but somehow they just don't 'feel' the same, she says). Well, I no longer have to worry about the stains and she was so excited to wear these marked up jeans to school on Friday. She said everyone loved them and she let half the class write on them. Oh well, she was happy and I get to retire these jeans to the play clothes closet.
We attended Mt Ida's homecoming Friday night. The Queen Sarah Johnston is Josh's guitar players daughter and some of our dearest friends. Sarah is such a sweet and beautiful girl. They also attend church with us at Aly.
I'm glad I didn't embarrass my daughter by taking her picture...in case you couldn't tell, she is the one in the gray covering her red face.
On Saturday, Josh took care of the kids so I could spend the day shopping with my Mom and sisters. We had such a good time together. I'm already looking forward to doing it again with them.
Yes, our house is still full of boxes and lots needed to be done this weekend at home but I'm glad we shut the door on it for one weekend and spent time away from this mess. Unfortunately today, I'm back at it again!!! We sign on our farm tomorrow....big day for us!
