Christmas Eve Night

Every year on Christmas Eve, we gather at Memaw Vicie's house to celebrate with food and family. I always take a picture of the kids in front of the tree. I went back in my files to look at the Christmas 2004 photo and couldn't get over how fast the last few years have flown by!

It's hard to believe our little Jedidiah is 3 years old! It seems like just last year he was standing by Memaw Vicie's tree in his little smocked mouse outfit and tall white socks!

Before we opened the gifts this year, we gathered around the living room and listened to Uncle Larry tell the true story of how the song "Silent Night" came about. It was very interesting! You can google it and read the entire story.

I love this picture of baby Presli looking up at Hudson. Remember last year...she was just some words on a shirt!!! (her sisters Lexi and Harli announced the news to us by wearing their "big sister" shirts during gift opening)

As always, it didn't take long for the wrapping paper to start flying round the room!

I wanted to get a picture of Josh and his baby with Janis and her baby but Jedidiah wouldn't cooperate! Josh is literally screaming in this picture!!!!!! LOL

And the night wouldn't be complete if these three girls didn't sing a couple Hannah Montana and Taylor Swift songs!!!! =)

Josh and I are both blessed with large families and we love spending time with everyone, especially during the holidays!

Christmas Eve at Newhope

On Christmas Eve Eve every year, we pack up our pjs and comfy slippers to make a trip back to Newhope to spend the night at Nana and Poppa's house (Josh's parents). We have so much fun. We stay up way too late and eat way too much, the kids run and play and scream and there is always lots of music and singing!

The kids are now getting older and they have so much fun together. Aubri, Ava, Kendall and Jed ran and played till they were just exhausted!

Mary Grace helped the kids put on a precious skit to show the real meaning of Christmas!

Right about the time the kids were starting to get quiet and settle down, Josh decided to wire them up again with a wrestling match! LOTS of screaming and yelling!!!!!

After the wrestling match, Mary Grace fixed all the little girls' hair.

Early the next morning on Christmas Eve, we were all up and ready to get breakfast started and gifts opened! Mary Grace kept the kids occupied by reading to them while Teresa and I finished cooking.
