God love my UPS man!!!

My poor UPS man. He was exhausted I'm sure after hauling in my order. I've been holding on to a gc from some coworkers for a while now...waiting for the perfect sale. Well, you guessed it. The gc is gone and replaced with four LARGE boxes full of goodies!! Yes, it was a rather large gc but hey, what can I say..I deserve it! LOL
I know every time the UPS man scanned this label he thought "how many candles can one woman order?" Actually, my candle order was very small now that my Aunt is making WONDERFUL candles....I'm serious. I am picky when it comes to candle buying and she makes some of the best I have ever smelled/burned. I ended up buying more accessories than anything else....candle dishes/toppers/baskets/etc.

My tart supply is now back in full stock!

The only problem..they included the new Spring catalog with the order. They get me every time!! LOL

Jed's 26 month update

I skipped Jed's 25 month update due to Christmas so I thought I would get this one in a few days early.

I have to say, having a little boy in the house is so much fun. The girls just completely spoil him and he sure gets his way most of the time. He is saying some of the cutest phrases and I walk around with the video camera trying to capture some of them. He is growing up way too fast.

He is a night owl. Unfortunately, he doesn't even think about going to sleep until around 10pm, normally around 10:30pm. I tell him every night that he is the only baby I know who stays up so late. He wakes up around 8:30am and takes a 2-3 hour nap every day.

Some new funny things he says:
He gets on his trike and says "Bye, Wuv U..I go to work"
When you ask him what his name is he says "Jedidiah Two Years Old"
When I tell him to pick up his toys he says "No Momma I too tired"

He loves to play "camper". He will run and jump in the bed and crawl under the blankets and say "Hurry Momma..get in camper...Bears..Monsters!"

He is doing great at potty training. One night around 11pm he said "Momma..me peepee". I was sooo tired and tried to say "night night Jed" but he just kept saying "peepee" so finally I got up and probably sounded a little aggravated and when I put him on the toilet he looked up at me with those long eyelashes and said "Momma...be careful to me"...it was so sweet. (and yes, he did need to peepee!) lol

He loves to talk on the phone and play outside. He always wants to call Sophie and Tay. Every afternoon we walk to the end of the road to get the girls off the school bus and this is his favorite part of the day. He loves to ride his little tricycle down the hill.

His favorite foods are spaghetti, pizza, burger king nuggets and toast. He loves milk!

He is such a good boy but there are two places where he is hard to handle...church and ballgames. He is just now learning to sit and listen in Sunday school but during services we go to Children's church. We barely make it through song service before going out. He also hates sitting still at ballgames and we all wrestle him back and forth until we are worn out.

His favorite songs:
Davey Crockett...he sings this every day
B-I-B-L-E
Jesus Loves Me

Some pics from Dec/Jan........

He loved this snow globe I had in his bedroom during Christmas. Every morning he would say "me see snow"

No hot cocoa for Jed but he sure loved the mini marshmallows in his cup.
Garvan Garden...he was amazed at all the lights.

Biting his lip...this is something he started doing several months ago and all I know to say is, when you see this...you need to run!LOL
Playing outside
Ready for church
I love this picture. Josh and Kendall were outside playing basketball and Jed had just woke up. He didn't waste anytime...he found his boots in his closet and said "me pay too". I have a basket near the front door with hats/mittens/gloves in it and this is the one he chose! LOL
Told you he loves spaghetti! =)
This is why bath time is immediately after we eat......
He yelled "Mom find me"......he was inside Kendall's dresser (minus his pajama bottoms)! LOL
He now weighs almost 30 pounds!
If I could somehow hide the top two movies here, I swear I would! We watch Robin Hood and Davey Crockett entirely TOO MUCH around this house!!
Our own little Davey Crockett going to spend the day with Daddy.
You didn't know Davey Crockett wore a leopard jacket? LOL I found Kendall's old church jacket in the storage bldg and I knew right away it would make the perfect Davey Crockett jacket for Jed to play in with his coonskin cap. He loves it and it looks hilarious on him!

Update on the girls

Thought I would give an update on the girls....

Reagon is doing so well in 6th grade. She made her first B this semester and you would have thought she made a F. She was so upset. She made the B+ in Math and I have to admit, the 6th grade math is HARD! Often times, I have to go to the internet to help her with the Algebra. She is so smart and she really pushes herself. Not one time have I ever had to tell her to try harder or ask her if she has done her homework. We are very proud of her.

She is now experimenting with makeup which is something I had hoped would wait another year or so. I love makeup so I shouldn't be surprised. My mom let me start wearing it in the 7th grade and I have loved it ever since. I bought Reagon some very light pink eyeshadow with a soft shimmer, soft pink blush and some light lip gloss. So far, that is all she is allowed to wear but I have noticed her eyelashes looking much fuller and darker lately! LOL I really noticed how much she has grown up this past year when she and Kendall gave me their Christmas list. Kendall's list was typical of a 7 year old...toys, dolls, and such but Reagon's list started with clothes and boots and ended with chi irons and cell phone covers. I must say, she is a lot of fun to shop for. She is now out of the kids section in clothing and wears a size 0/2 and they make such cute clothes in that style. Her closet is what I call my dream closet because the child has countless shoes, belts, bags, jeans, jackets....the list goes on and on. I sometimes fuss at her for her overflowing closet but she is quick to remind me that she buys about 1% of the stuff and the rest is from me! LOL She is right. God knew to give me at least one girl who loves clothes and shoes.

She is doing really well in basketball this year. She played her best game ever a couple weekends ago against Benton. According to Josh, she will be playing AAU ball this summer. Lord, I don't know how we will find the time but he is insisting she play to prepare for Jr High ball. Honestly, from his reactions to her games in pee wee ball, I don't know if his heart can make it through a jr high ballgame.

Reagon is so much help to me with Jed. I honestly don't know how I made it when she was a baby. I ask her and Kendall to help me so much and they are always (ok, almost always) willing to help. They each have chores every day after school (two chores a day) and 90% of the time, they do them without being told. They can do just about anything I ask them to with Jed from making a snack to giving him a bath to changing a dirty diaper. Bless her heart, Reagon swears she will never have kids! LOL

She still has lots of migraine headaches. We went for her migraine evaluation on Friday and she will have her MRI tomorrow. Hopefully, the new medicine will help. She has had migraines since she was 5 years old and has been on this one pill since third grade so I'm hoping a change in medication will stop some of the frequent migraines. She is now up to 4-5 a week instead of 4-5 a month. Thankfully, she only has a couple really bad ones a month.

Kendall Elizabeth...

Where do I start with this child! LOL She is just so much fun and so much trouble wrapped up in one. I swear, she keeps this house laughing day in and day out. She is also doing good in school. She loves her class and her friends and made one B (also her first, in Math) on her report card. She is full of energy and once she wakes up in the morning, she is bouncing off the walls till she finally crashes at night.

Some of her favorite things are playing basketball outside with Reagon and Josh, going to see Abby and Mylee, anything to do with cheerleading or tumbling, and her horse Crickett. She loves playing with Jed but we have to keep a watch on her because she can be a little too rough with him. She is in a "monkey" phase and everything in her room from her comforter set to her posters on the wall is all about monkeys. She told me one time that she wished we lived in Chicago because they allowed pet monkeys in the house! LOL Not sure where she came up with that one. She says that she will be a Vet when she grows up. She would sure be a good one! She loves going to field trials with Josh and helping with the dogs. Reagon and I can't wait till little brother is old enough to go along with them so we can have some more shopping time. Right now, he is still too little to go (or at least I think so) so Reagon and I take him with us. We usually tire out very early since he is not fond of the stroller or riding in a grocery cart.

Kendall is a very loving little girl. She loves for me to read to her at night and I still sometimes rock her to sleep. She loves it and so do I so as long as I can, I will. She takes a bath with Jed and they will play in the tub for almost an hour if I let them. Of course, when I get them out, the bathroom looks like a pond. One thing she really likes to do is dress Jed for bedtime. Not sure why, but she always wants to be in charge of picking out his pajamas and dressing him for bed. She will lay with him in bed and snuggle with him and tell me how much she loves the smell of his baby head. It's so sweet. But, two minutes later, she will be wrestling his sweet baby head and holding him down for the count! LOL

She is very aware now that she has a different look to her eye and handles it so well. I have drilled into her head since she was a baby that God gave her a very special eye and boy, does she know it and use it! LOL I have to laugh sometimes when she is asked about it and I am able to over-hear her explains it..It's almost like she feels sorry for them because she has the special eye and they don't! LOL (For those readers wondering, Kendall was born with bilateral coloboma in both eyes but the markings only show in one eye..the marking is in the back of the other eye).

I am so thankful for my girls. I honestly prayed for both of them to be girls. When I was pregnant with Reagon I wanted a girl so bad. I dreamed of smocked dresses and big hair bows and shiny church shoes. She was just my little dream baby when she was born. Her head FULL of black hair and I don't know if a day went by that she didn't wear a bow. By the time she was three, her hair was beautiful shiny blonde and down to her little bottom. I just loved dressing her up with earrings and matching purses. She was a real life dress-up doll to me. Then when I was pregnant with Kendall, I prayed so hard for Reagon to have a little sister. Growing up with two sisters of my own, I wanted that so bad for Reagon. As soon as I found out Kendall was a girl, within a few days I had a closet full of little matching outfits for them! Kendall was the exact opposite of Reagon from day one. She was born with zero hair and then when it did start coming in a little at a time, I was so happy to see some red shining through. I always wanted a red haired freckle faced little girl and that is just what I got! LOL While Reagon was dressed in little smocked outfits with matching fingernails, Kendall wouldn't keep a headband on or bow in her hair for over 10 seconds. She hated dresses and still does. If she had her way, she would wear jeans and cowboy boots to church every Sunday. They are so different. I love that about them.

I am so thankful God blessed me with these two girls. They are such a blessing in my life.

Aly Fellowship Night

Once a month we have started a youth/fellowship night for our kids at church. We have plans for bowling, mini golf, go karts...that kind of thing. Our first fellowship night for the month of January was at a new little pizza place in Rover called Promise Land Family Center. Everyone had a great time.

Time for pizza!
Is he spoiled or what?
Basketball shoot-out...
The boys enjoyed playing pool....
I snapped this pic while the girls were busy looking for the ping-pong balls!
Shooting with his new gun....
Looking forward to next month's night out with the church.

Mt Magazine

Josh and I took our annual over-night trip to Mt Magazine on New Years Day. This is only our second trip to MM, so not too sure we can call it "annual" just yet, but we are planning on keeping this tradition going. The only problem we have is leaving Jed. The girls are big enough that it's not a big deal (they love going to stay with Abby and Mylee) but for some reason, Josh and I both feel panicky (is that a word?) when it comes to leaving little brother overnight. This was only the second time in two years he has stayed away from us. The night before we left, I packed our bags (one small bag with pjs, books, magazines, coffee, hot cocoa, and just a few essentials) and then packed Jed's bags..yes bags (plural). When we made it to Nana and Papa's house, Josh unloaded the huge rubbermaid tote full of bags/toys/snacks/etc for one small two year old. Honestly, he could have made it fine with one small diaper bag but I just kept adding more and more as I was packing. I just kept thinking "what if"....so I added more medicine to the first aid kit, more clothes to the bag, more pullups, more snacks, more toys, etc. We even hauled his drum set with us....he is just so darn cute when he plays them, we wanted to show Nana and Papa. It seemed to take forever for Josh and I to leave that morning but not because of Jed. He was telling us "BYE" from the moment we hit their driveway. We had been telling him all morning that he was going to stay with Nana and Papa and boy, was he ready. We dropped him off and on our way out the door, Josh took him from Roger's arms to give him one last hug and Jed just burst into tears. I was afraid he was crying to go with us till I realized he thought he wasn't going to get to stay. He was one happy little boy when we drove off. I think Josh called every hr to check on him and they were having a blast.

We love Mt Magazine. We stayed in the same room this year..a king suite rm 205 with a jacuzzi and balcony..it was just perfect. The rooms are no nice and it's so quiet on the mountain. One thing we love is the slow pace...no running out to the movies, out to eat, then back. Once we park the car at the lodge, we are there to stay for the next 24 hrs. The restaurant in amazing. We just snacked in our room for lunch and then ate dinner and bfast in the lodge restaurant that overlooks the mountains. We so enjoyed the quiet meals together and just spending time with each other.

The look-out point as you enter Mt Magazine state park
At the lodge..
View from our table at bfast..
Heated pool and two hot tubs on the main floor...
Watching the sunset.....

Does my husband look embarrassed that I'm taking a picture during dinner? By the way, the caramel cheesecake for dessert was out of this world!
The lodge was still decorated for Christmas and all the lights were beautiful at night.
You can't tell from the picture, but there was a nice crackling fire going in the fireplace. They have nice soft chairs in this glass room area where you can sit and read by the fireplace. I could have stayed in this room for hours!

Already booked for next year....room 205 on New Years Day 2010! Can't wait!

Silver Dollar City

Kendall won tickets to Silver Dollar City in a field trial back in February. The tickets expired on 12/31/08 so while in Branson, we decided to use them (we almost waited to the very last day). The weather was miserable cold but we all bundled up as much as we could. I had Jed so bundled up he could barely walk! LOL We stayed about 5 hours and that was enough for us. We plan on going back this summer, when we can wear shorts and flipflops and stay all day. (I'm not a cold weather person...you can ask my family, I was whining the whole day about being too cold).

In line for the tea cups..
We didn't realize until we had stayed in line for several minutes that Jed was too short to ride the teacups. Here he is looking up at the ride operator...only 3 inches too short. It broke the man's heart to not let him ride. Jed was looking at him with a "PLEASE" look on his face!

Kendall, Josh and Reagon.....Jed and I stood to the side to watch and the entire time Jed yelled "me too"!!!

Finally, we found some baby rides.

God love him, he was so wrapped up in a shirt, sweatshirt, jacket, scarf and fleece hat that he could barely see to wave at Reagon for the picture! LOL

Taking a break to watch a cute little production about Frosty the Snowman.
No better way to warm up than with a funnel cake.
Silver Dollar City is absolutely beautiful at Christmas time with all the lights. It really was a great afternoon with the kids. Looking forward to going back.
