Payback
I asked Reagon to watch Jed in her room while I finished cooking supper. Kendall asked if she could also help watch him in Reagon's room. I should have known she was up to something.

Kendall's 8th Birthday party
Kendall's birthday party Friday night was lots of fun! Mt Ida has a perfect park area with a covered pavilion, picnic tables, tennis courts, basketball goals and a kiddie playground. Nice place and even nicer rental fee....free!
Thanks to everyone who came and enjoyed her birthday with us. Poor Taylor Ann was the first to the party and the first to leave. She broke out in a rash and had to go home early and has been sick all weekend. Hope you are better soon Tay!
Kendall's school had a two hour field day on Friday and guess who forgot sunscreen? It didn't even cross my mind until she stepped off the bus Friday afternoon. She looks like pink panther in her birthday pictures.

Thursday Thirteen
I've noticed this title on several blogs so decided to join in on the fun today! The rules are simple. Each Thursday pick 13 random things to post about or pick a title ie "favorite places to eat" or "projects I'm working on".
Sounds simple enough.
So here goes my first Thursday Thirteen
"13 random things that make me happy"
1.....Warm sunny days when you can run around in your underwear with a popsicle!
or in your favorite slippers!
#2.....getting a bargain at a yard sale (5 hardback left behind series books for 25 cents each)
#3...pedicures.... and boxing up the boots and breaking out the flipflops (and the razors and spray tanner)
#4...being the "cool parents" for a change!
#5....seeing my shoebox full of recipes finally organized in one simple binder!
#6..finally figuring out what to do with the weird space between the back wall and the fridge..and getting the corkboard for free!
#7...my new clear containers....yes, I am easy to please! LOL
#8.......family pizza night at Rod's..17" Godfather! =)
#9.......sleeping babies and smocked jonjons
#10 making yummy fingerfoods each week for church bible study 
#11 spending my $50 Dillards gift cert from my coworkers on ME! (first time in over 10 years I've spent over $3 on perfume! LOL)
#12 buying fruit (finally in season) and not having to break the bank (and getting to use my $1 Paula Deen bowl)
and finally the last one #13....seeing my UPS man deliver yet another box of pens for my obsession/collection! (I guess I should note...I don't just order pens to be delivered. The obsession isn't that bad yet. I had to order some toner and ink and needed $15 to hit the free shipping limit...somehow I never have trouble finding $15 worth of pens and markers! LOL)
That was kind of fun! LOL Next week will be "Thirteen places my husband should take me on a much needed vacation!" lol

Easter Sunrise Service at Aly
We had a good gathering for our Easter sunrise service. Bright and early at 6am on Easter morning, 42 of us gathered on the front lawn of our church to celebrate Jesus and His power over the grave. Our fellowship breakfast was delicious..first time I've had chocolate gravy in years! The bottom fell out of the sky right before we were getting ready for the kids egg hunt so we hunted inside. Right before the egg hunt my camera battery died so no good pics of the kids Easter outfits.
The night before...Josh helping with the eggs for the hunt. He thinks the "80s style wrapped" eggs are the only way to go! LOL
Even Reagon and Casey helped with the eggs!

Only one of Kendall..bless her heart, I knew this would probably be the last year I could dress her in such a girly Easter dress. She looked so cute! (she's looking at her MP# player in the pic)

Update from Appt......
It was a long 3 hour appt yesterday at Childrens. (especially for Josh who had to wait in the waiting room with Kendall and Jed) Hopefully we will have some answers soon!
The doctors were super nice and spent lots of time with us, writing down every little detail. They drew blood and did some stomach x-rays and scheduled a CT scan.
Before the dreaded blood draw..she actually did good.
Waiting on the drs...two drs each met with us for over an hour then met with a team of drs to discuss the symptoms.
