I still had several Christmas pictures to post but I am getting a little tired of Christmas.
Yea, I know. Can't believe I said that. I just recently (this week) finished taking down all my Christmas decorations and they are now safely put away in the storage room above the girls' playhouse.
I decided to skip the Christmas posts because I couldn't wait to show you the pictures from Caleb and Mary Grace's wedding. The wedding post will be a BIG one, I have tons of great pictures to show you but first we will begin with the rehearsal/decorating and rehearsal dinner.
Reagon and I (along with several others) helped decorate the reception area on New Years Day. I can't believe I only snapped one picture. Guess we were too busy getting everything ready. I LOVE this picture! Mary Grace's brother Joseph was in charge of holding the tablecloths while they were steamed! Here, he is yelling "I'M SWEATING!!!!!". Sooo funny.

I had ONE job for the wedding. Besides making sure Josh and the girls looked their best and showed up with their teeth brushed, hair fixed, socks with ruffles, silver hairclips, extra milk (which I forgot, but thanks to Trey..he made a quick trip to the store or there would have been a very unhappy 3 year old ring bearer), shined black dress shoes, extra lipgloss, and such....besides that I had ONE job.
Paint and decorate the flower girl baskets.
Sounds simple enough, huh? Well, I stressed myself to death. Mary Grace gave me some plain baskets back in Sept and said "just spray them black, like you do everything, (Ok maybe she was just thinking that part), and tie some ribbons on them. thanks". Sounded simple and easy but the closer the wedding date got on the calendar the more I stressed over these little baskets. What if the black paint comes off on the dresses? What if the paint isn't shiny enough? What if the ribbons look like crap? (Sorry, that's what I thought) What if the ribbons don't match the dresses and the colors clash and they look horrible and and and and and and and. Let's just say that as much as I stressed over something as easy as flower girl baskets, I had better hope the girls get married on a beach with no needed decorations. Just a few gathered wild flowers, sand and the hot summer sun. That's what I'll be pushing for one day.
Everyone who visited our house the last week of December had to step over these little baskets. I had them spread all over the kitchen floor on cardboard and I can't even begin to tell you how many coats of primer, paint and gloss paint I sprayed on these baskets. I hauled Kendall's dress with me until I found the perfect ribbon color to match and then started on the bows. They started out looking great but a few hours later they looked like wilted flowers. I called up the local florist and I think the poor woman could hear desperation in my voice because she said she would gladly help me by spraying them with a stiffener and adding wire.
I think they turned out perfect!

The music at the wedding was by far, the prettiest I have ever heard at a wedding! Here is a snapshot during rehearsal.

The little girls and boys lined up to practice. They ALL did such a great job!

Memaw Lida and Papa Lonnie at rehearsal

This picture cracks me up every time I look at it! I think Mary Grace's dad may have been tired of my picture taking! LOL

Bride and Groom at rehearsal

Mary Grace's brother Joseph and his wife.

The future Duggar family...

Jed was really good at rehearsal. He loves having Danton and Hudson around. They are always showing him lots of attention and he is constantly running and playing with them.

Josh and his mom

Little Presli, wondering what all the excitement was about!

Hudson, the #1 babysitter!

After rehearsal, we were starving! We made our way to the Clarion for some great burgers and food! All the kids had fun playing games while we were able to relax a little before the big day!

I love these two pictures of Josh and Caleb.

These girls were having a blast!!!!
Stay tuned. You won't want to miss all the wedding pictures. Mary Grace looked like a bride off the cover of Bridal Magazine and Caleb looked like a true Ken doll. They make such a beautiful couple! Can't wait to show you the pictures but I have a mountain of laundry calling my name.
