Photo overload. Enjoy!

Meeting brother for the first time.
First family photo.

Going home!
Why this picture? Ava and I were at the farm when I went into labor. I thought the baby lamb was fitting. :)How often do you see this? Of course, it happened on Tyler's special day.
The Story: (original due date was March 26th)
Friday, March 16, 2012
9am: Doctors appointment. 1.5 cm 80% effaced. Doesn't look like I'll have the baby today.
10:30 Took Ava to the farm.
11:30 Called and asked a friend to watch Ava so Justin and I could go on one last date.
11:50 Started having back pain at the farm.
12:00 Decided we better leave the farm so I wouldn't get stuck there, unable to drive home.
12:05 Hauled a screaming daughter to the car. She didn't want to leave.
12:10 Got home, told Justin to come home. (Luckily he was teleworking that day and was at our apartment complex business center. Otherwise the commute is 1hr 15mins)
12:15 Trying to decide if I was really in labor.
1:00 Called the doctor and told him I wanted to come in.
1:30 Dropped Ava off at a friend's house.
1:45 Arrived at doctor's office. Had 4 contractions between the elevator and his office door. Doctor checked, I was at 2cm.
2:00 Admitted to the hospital. (Luckily it is in the same parking lot as the doctor's office.)
2:45 Water broke. Contractions were horribly painful at this point. Begging for an epidural. Nurse checked, I was at 6cm.
3:00 Got epidural! Yay! Had 4 contractions while epidural was administered. Anesthesiologist gave extra drugs to make it work faster. The nurse told me he is the only doctor that would do that, and he's the best one they have. SO grateful he was working that day!! Otherwise, I may not have had a working epidural for the delivery!
3:15 Started pushing
3:28 Baby Tyler Born!
Crazy! I was just a pregnant mom at the farm with her 2 year old and now I had a baby boy in my arms. I asked the doctor what we would do next time. He said he would meet me at my driveway. :)
We were able to be discharged Saturday. Hooray! I am not a fan of hospital beds. Justin has been an amazing dad and husband, and I have felt wonderful since I've been home thanks to him doing all of the work!
Ava is a great big sister. She wants to hold Tyler all of the time. When he's hungry, she tries to share her snacks and got mad once when we wouldn't let her give him applesauce.
These pictures are from this morning (Sunday). She loves her brother! I did not ask her to pose like this, she just came over and gave him loves on her own. She is so gentle with him.

Greeting baby brother.
Welcome Home Baby Tyler!

She's TWO!

Ava's 2nd Birthday was Monday! She sang, "Happy to you!" (aka Happy Birthday) all day long.My friends helped me make this fun butterfly cake. Thanks Jes and Chana! She was excited!Who needs a spoon? -Yum!
I was really excited about giving her this bike. She was more excited about the lollipops she found in the basket. Her favorite gift? Probably the vacuum. She vacuums about 4 times a day.We had her friends over to play for her birthday.I made these fun rainbow cupcakes for her party.
Her best friend Mollee. I didn't ask them to pose. They just crawled under the piano and were giggling out of pure joy.

Next post? Hopefully the birth of baby boy! Let the count down begin!
