7 and 8 Months

Since our computer was broken when Elsie turned 7 months, and now she is 8 months I'll just combine her little birthday letters. I know they are super long but it helps me always remember how she was at each stage!

7 Months

8 Months

Elsie Baby:

My oh my how you have grown!! Everyday I get you up from your naps and I swear you change! You have really gotten so big these past few weeks and you are definitely learning and discovering new things daily! Let me first start out by saying you are LITTLE MISS GIGGLES!! It is like nothing I have ever seen been. You crack up over everything and you just laugh and laugh and laugh. I think it is safe to say that you think your mama is the funniest, but you definitely get more excited to see your daddy. You are so ticklish laugh so hard! You also love to laugh at songs, when we or you sneeze, during peek-a-boo and patty cake. You also crack up over Sadie and Titan. You love love love dogs! Even Sophie!! Your favorite books right now are "Mommy?" ,"Who's a Bunny?" and "Peek a Boo Baby". You love to play peek-a-boo, patty cake, play with your little computer toy, read books, chew on anything (especially your fruit net feeder and shoes). play with combs, phones and remotes. You are also such a chatty cathy! You talk talk talk and just babble away. You say dada all day long and we love it! You have your two bottom teeth and your top tooth next to what will be your front right tooth. You are currently getting your front right tooth and the tooth next to what will be your front left tooth. You have just started to grind your teeth and it drives mama nuts! You are such a good eater, you love food! You are started to grab the spoon when I feed you because you want to help. We have given you lots of new food to try and sometime you get this funny look on your face and then your whole body shutters and you gag it out if you don't it. But then you always go back and try it again. If you don't like something though you have no problem gagging and throwing it up. If we try to give you your bottle and you don't want it, you will gag so hard before it even hits your lips. You definitely know what you want and will not stop at anything to get it. You are so into your toys right now and all you want to do is play play play. But the nice thing is you will play with anything. You are still so happy all the time and easy going. Elsie you are the most curious and observant child. You have to check everything out and always see what is going on. Because of this you have started to not sit still as easily. Speaking of sitting, you sit up so well now! perfectly straight! You rarely will lay down now before you flip over and start spin or scooting over to things. I think you are getting close to crawling but not quite yet. Yesterday you rocked on your hand and knees! You just started to clap your hands the other day and it was darling! I was putting you in your Halloween costume, telling you how darling you looked and you started to clap. Now you love to clap and pat pat everything. You will do hi fives (which is really probably just a pat pat) but it is darling! You have started to flip over in your crib and you now sleep on your tummy. But sometimes you wake up and for some reason you won't flip back over. The other day you kept flipping back and forth and you got your little leg stuck in the slats of the crib. We put your bumpers up and now you use them as a pillow! You love to give hugs and burry your face into our necks. You also think animals sounds are hysterical and you love to make all sorts of funny noises. Everyone loves you and loves to be around you! You are such a happy and spirited baby! You are fine to go with the flow and try new things. We are so blessed to  have your sweet and bubbly spirit in our home and we love you to pieces!! You are our little sunshine girl and we can't imagine life without you. You always bring a smile to everyones face and your happy spirit is contagious! You mean so much to us and we hope you always know how loved you are!!!
xoxo Love Mommy and Daddy

Catch Up

Ahhh! I m so behind on this thing! Our computer broke a while ago and we just got around to fixing it! So here is a LONG post with ridiculous amounts of pictures...

Here is Elsie's first pony tail

We went golfing with Derrek, Adrienne and Avery. Dave loved teaching Elsie how to golf

For my Dad's birthday we decided to do Elsie's first art project. It was quite the undertaking. Elsie wanted to eat the paint, she wouldn't open her fat little hand, and she got so mad at me. But it ended up turning out perfect for my dad. It had an artistic look!

That night we had dinner up at Silver Fork Lodge. I love it up there!
Her is Elsie with her beloved Nana!

Chad and Ashley who just got engaged! We are so excited for them!!
Elsie with my parents. They love love love this little girl and can't get enough of her! She loves them right back. She always gets so excited when we go and see them!
It was kind of cold and I forgot socks for Elsie so my mom brought up some her socks for her to wear
We have started to attempt to use a sippy cup. So far she like to chew on it the best.
Plastic soup... this is what it looks like when we sanitize all of her stuff
Elsie and her little net eater thing. She loves this!! It makes her so happy and she will chew on it forever. We put fruit in it and she goes to town!
Her happy place...

Elsie and cousin Brooklyn love to stand by the window and watch Sophie. They also love to play together. They hug each other and Brooklyn is always putting Elsie on the back

We have been going on lots of lunch dates with our friends

We went to the State Fair with Mike, Traci and Brooklyn to see the animals and watch Dave's dad rides his horse
Here is Elsie on a sheep... yes on a real sheep! She is so funny. She absolutely freaked out when she saw a big Curious George character but the guy at the fair put her on the sheep and she loved it! She got so excited to look at all the animals!

That night we meet up with some friends at a Mexican market for dinner and Dave put this on Elsie
Oh my heck! Let me introduce Grandma Elsie!! I put Elsie's hair in sponge curlers a few weeks ago. She didn't mind them at all!

When we took them out her hair was scary! I used the curlers that were too small and she looked like a little old lady!

Elsie got sick for the first time last week. Her and Brooklyn both got hand, foot and mouth disease. She was acting a little sad last Thursday but I just thought it was because she is getting her front teeth. When we got home late that night she was burning up. I took her temperature and it was 104. We hurried and took her up to the after hour care at her doctors and they said she had hand, foot and mouth. It was the longest night and she was so sad. To make matters worse we had family pictures the next day. Luckily she was a trooper and so good for the pictures. After, Dave left us for Park City for the weekend for a Bachelor Party and on the way home Elsie threw up all over herself in the back and was crying so hard she was choking. I had to pull over on the side of the road and calm her down. It was horrible! Poor baby girl!

Does she not look like a 2 year old?
We love going on morning walks with Traci and Brooklyn. The other day they didn't have their stroller so we put them both in ours. Poor Brooklyn had to deal with Elsie trying reach back and hug her the whole time
Lastly we took Elsie to the Pumpkin Patch a few days ago and she had a ball! Dave pulled her around in this wagon and she thought it was so funny!

So there we have it! We are all caught up for the most part!!
