THE WHITWORTH FAMILY

Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass... it's about learning to dance in the rain.

Welcome Baby Bridger

Well, he's finally here.  After many months of waiting to meet this little guy, Bridger Jay Whitworth came into the world on May 8th, 2013 weighing in at 7 lbs. 8 oz. and 20 inches long.  He is an absolute sweetheart and we love him to pieces.  I got induced a week early and everything went very smoothly.  Even my recovery was better than my other two (still very hard, but better).

Just moments after he was born, I got to cuddle and nurse him. It was really cool.
Now I have one more boy in my life to love!
He was quite the sleeper in the hospital.  Couldn't wake him for anything.

Strat still not sure what to think of this little creature.
Proud Papa!

Coincidence... My friend Mackenzie had her baby boy in the same hospital, same day, same size, both were our thirds.  Crazy but so fun!

Easter Fun

We had such beautiful weather for Easter.  Easter crept up on us early this year too.... March 31st.  We had a fun day full of good food, Easter baskets and then going to Auntie Tiff''s house for a dinner and Easter Egg Hunt and had a great time.

Easter Morning Easter Baskets.  The kids were thrilled with their loot.
My 32 week Easter Bump.
On our way to church.  The dress Nora is wearing is especially fun because it was the dress I wore when I was her age.   It fit her perfectly and is still in great shape!

Good Eye Strat!
Strat is trying to smile but his mouth is full of candy... big surprise.
Nora counting and organizing all her loot.
Stratton found Uncle Jason's drum set down stairs after the egg hunt.  He's a natural!

Strat Attack turns 3!

Stratton had his 3rd Birthday on March 19th.  Though this year we decided to combine a family party with his cousin buddy Connor who turned 5 in March as well.  They had a blast sharing their big day.  So glad my kids get to be friends and know their cousins better than I ever did.

Pic taken on St. Patricks Day two days before his Birthday.  He's sure got the Irish Blood doesn't he?

South Carolina

In late February, Dave and I had the opportunity to fly out to South Carolina for Maryvonne's wedding to Matt Wilkinson.  It rained the whole time we were there, rained out the wedding (had to go to plan C) and made it tricky to go site-seeing. But, in the end, they got married and are a family of 4 now.  Yes, Maryvonne became an insta-mom to 2 kids Ben and Jen.  So in one weekend we got a new Brother-in-law, niece and a nephew.  Thanks to my awesome family who watched our kids while we could get away. Wish we could have stayed longer, but it was nice to come home.

This was the beautiful backyard view from the Lake House that the whole family stayed at. If I had my wetsuit, I probably would have gone for a swim. We ended up having the wedding ring ceremony here because of the rained out wedding site.

"Attempting" to do some site-seeing at a cool plantation house in Charleston.  This was one of the few times we jumped out of the car, put the umbrella down real quick for a picture and then ran back into the car to prevent getting too soaked.

Had to take a picture of the magnolias.  My favorite!  We have one of these planted in our front yard, but it is a long way from blooming.  Apparently in South Carolina they get their once a year Magnolia blooms in late February.
Dave in front of a swamp in the rain.... Pic speaks for itself eh?
On our way to the sealing in Columbia, So. Carolina.  I'm 28 weeks prego.  P.S.  I do NOT recommend long plane flights in your 3rd Trimester.
Coming out of the temple.  Love this pic of Maryvonne.  She looks so happy.Yes, it was a night wedding/sealing.  How romantic!
The new Wilkinson Family
My little Sis-in-law is a married woman now.  WOW!  The first time I met this girl 8 years ago was the weekend she graduated from High School.
The next morning was the ring ceremony at the Lake House.  I think Matt was bugged that I wanted to take a picture of them... Afterall, isn't that what they paid a professional photographer for?  Sorry dude!
On a walk by the shore on our last evening there.  The ground was covered in shells.  This was when I really wished my kids could be there.  They would have had a blast.  This is me and my 3 sister-in-laws Shaunda, Erin and Jamie.

Nora lost her first tooth!

Can you believe it?  My little girl lost her first tooth!  Nora just turned 5 and already lost one.  It was loose for about 2 weeks and then one night it was so wobbly we decided to help it along with pliers.  Yikes!  She was excited though, and most excited for the visit from the tooth fairy who left her a note and a little Polly Pocket to give her an idea of what she "looked like."

Christmas 2012

We had a wonderful Christmas this year.  Having an extra family (my sister and fam) living with us just added to the Christmas spirit.  We had double the traditions and double the fun and excitement.  The kids enjoyed the festivities so much making memories I hope they will keep.   We also had a great time getting ready this year for the holidays.  Kids make Christmas so much more enjoyable.  Along with a huge snowfall this year, we indeed had a delightful white Christmas.

Nora sang in her Preschool Christmas program and had us all grinning from ear to ear.
Nora and her best buddy Anna Taylor after their performance.  Such cuties!
Yet another performance.  Nora sang with the primary at the ward Christmas Breakfast.
On Christmas Eve we decorated darling gingerbread houses with the Pierces.  A tradition we will continue doing for sure whether they live with us or not.
Also on Christmas Eve night, we went over to my sister Alena's house and had dinner and a fun nativity activity for the kids.
Strat loving his new cars tent that Auntie Lisa made him at the Christmas Eve cousins gift exchange.
Christmas Morning!  Something we did to make the kids squirm before they got to go look at the tree and all the gifts.  We made them all eat breakfast first and then wait in line with their eyes closed.  Torture I know.  Strat is peeking though, what a cheater.
"Santa came, Santa came!"  they all screamed when they finally got to see.
Nora and Stat enjoying their stockings.
Christmas morning family shot.
I made my Mom a quilt for Christmas.  Her and my Dad enjoyed visiting each of their children's houses on Christmas morning.
Uncle Josiah was also a Christmas morning visitor.  Strat loved showing him all his cars stuff he got.
Nora feeling happy to just sit on the hard floor as long as she gets to open a present.
Strats main gift this year was a "Big Mack" as he called it.  Oh the squeals of excitement that came out of this child's mouth.  Hilarious!
Umm Yeah, best $25 bucks we ever spent.  Look at that face!
Our biggest Christmas surprise is that we found out we are having another boy.  I was 20 weeks (half way) on Christmas day.
