Lake Weekend

Back in August we spent at weekend at the lake with our friends.  It was loads of fun and filled with funny memories.  The kids had a great time playing with their friends.  We all spent lots of time times swimming and soaking up the sun.  We spent time in the boat and even let the kids tube. We played lots of games when the kids were sleeping.  It was a fun weekend and because we have 3:00pm church, we even made it home in time to go to church.

We recreated a picture from several years ago.  It was epic.

Estelle wanted to try tubing.  She was so brave, but wanted to go slow.  So we went really slow in the boat, so slow that the tube dipped down into the water and dumped all the girls into the lake.  Poor Estelle, she totally freaked out as she bobbed on the water waiting for the boat to come around.  We drove next to her and I pulled her into the boat.  She told me she did not like tubing, but 20 minutes later, she was ready to try again.

This time we were smarted.  We put her in the middle and found the right speed to keep her on the tube.  She did great and my little three year old was such a big girl.

Dance Class

There is a new dance studio near our house that offered free beginner ballet classes in August for girls ages 3-7.  I have three girls between ages 3-7, so they all got to go to dance class once a week in August.  They loved it.  Hector took them every week, because dance class was during volleyball practice times.  I got to watch videos of their dancing and let me tell you, that Estelle is quite the dancer.  They we so cute.  They loved it and looked forward to it each week.  It was an awesome summer activity for them.

First Day of School

I have two kids in school.  Time is just flying by.  Sienna has been ready for Kindergarten for a long time.  She is big for her age and and she learns really quickly.  Everyone thought she was starting school a year ago.   She finally got her turn and she was ready.  She was excited and did great her first.  We all walk together to the school in the morning.  I got to walk Sienna all the way to class and see her start the day.  She was so cute.

She was also soooo excited about her superhero backpack.  It was the perfect backpack for her and she loves it so much.

Natalia has the same teacher as last year and she was so excited to be back in the classroom.  She is a pro at school.  Everyone loves her; she is such a good kid.
