The Heflebower Family

Just had to post what occurred in our house this afternoon in hopes that after I post this I will be able to laugh...so I had to work most of this morning, thankfully ShanDee was able to keep my kids. We get home around 1, as I was driving home Joel asked if I would check our iTunes account and Amazon account because there were some charges he didn't know about. I get home get the kids settled and get looking into things. Come to find out Lukas somehow had downloaded a $20 movie on iTunes (still not sure how he did that), while I was getting that figured out, Lukas comes walking up to me with a pair of scissors. I ask him what he is doing, he proceeds to take my hand and pulls me to the couch. Yep...he did. He poked holes through the back of our leather couch and cut up the cushion. YAY! (at least he tells you when he does things, he never hides it) I try to stay calm, but make him take a time out in his room more for his safety. Then I try to decided what to do. Lukas then comes and snuggles up with me on the couch after our little break, while I am feeding Maddie, he pees on the couch. Poor couch, it's just not your day! I get that cleaned up and decide he needs to go lay down. Lately he likes to watch a movie and fall asleep on our bed, so I get him all tucked in our bed. Meanwhile Maddie is having a rough, constipated afternoon so I am pacing the floors with her, when down comes Lukas covered in lotion. I am sure that I don't even want to go upstairs, but against my will I slowly climb the stairs to find our bed covered in not only expensive hand lotion, but a tube of Carmex. I guess Lukas was concerned for our dry skin. Don't worry there is still more...so while I am stripping the bed and getting stuff in the washer, Lukas gets a bottle of Maddie's lotion and jumps on it and lotion squirts everywhere. I love my LIFE! So right now I am taking a mommy time out and writing this all down in hopes it will sound comical typed up, meanwhile my three year old is throwing balls at my head asking me if I want to play dodge ball.

After patiently waiting for over a year...I got my new ride. I seriously am in LOVE! I am so glad I held out, cuz I got everything I wanted with a little more. I am pretty sure my favorite thing is the seat warmers...which I use not matter the temp outside!

Anytime we are at my parent's house, Lukas is Papa's little shadow. We are over there the Thursday before Easter and Papa was in the garage cutting his hair...or rather shaving his head. Lukas was fascinated, so Papa asked him if he wanted a buzz cut, and Lukas was thinking Buzz Lightyear. He said yes then changed his mind. Later that night my parents kept the kids so Joel and I could run to the store to buy Easter stuff. When we pulled in to my parents we could hear Lukas crying in the garage, and this is what we found in the garage...
