We wondered what Mia would do if we started playing guitar, and we found out! Disclaimer: Ignore the female voice- I forgot that it was recording my singing! Ah! Embarrassing!

We are so excited to finally move back near family, and after a month in Warren, we finally found a church and good jobs, but in Columbus. We expected to find everything in Warren and have family just down the street, but it didn't work out like we imagined. Now we are a 3 hour drive from family, and we will be able to go spend some weekends in Warren and have our family visit here for the weekends. We love our new church The Church at Polaris, and our new jobs. I became the new assistant teacher at a Pre-K school, which Mia loves too! And Tye loves working his new position at a local Columbus bank.We are enjoying exploring our new city. You never run out of things to do here! This pic below is of Alum Lake Beach near Columbus. Fun!We are looking forward to visiting all the parks & fun things to do. Soon we will visit the Columbus Zoo, rated #1 Zoo in the nation! Mia is almost 21 months old! She's growing SO fast. She says a lot of her ABC's and numbers from 1-10! She's saying a lot of phrases, especially funny ones. :) Lately, I've heard her say: "Oh mercy." "There it is!" "Go-blesh-you" after I sneezed, "I sorry." "Potty treat!" "More please!" "All gone." "Dora and Boots!" "Oh OK!" and so many more! She cracks us up!
She loves running around at full speed anywhere! Thus it is difficult to go shopping or to Walmart :P She loves school and knows her teachers names and says "friends!" Her favorite characters are Elmo, Dora the Explorer, and the Veggietales. She even says "Bob, Larry and Junior!"

We have some hilarious pictures from our latest trip to the Wye Mountain Daffodil Festival. Over 7 acres of daffodil's, and we, through blood, sweat & tears COULD NOT get Mia to crack ONE smile! HA! She was interested in them, but seemed a bit grumpy. Can you tell?? We'll always look at these and laugh!

We threw a big 1st Birthday Extravaganza for Mia after the holiday season with all of our friends!

Mia is loving picking up pieces of food now- she got bored with me spoon feeding her and is loving more independence. She's perfected her "pincer grasp" and loves picking up even the tiniest pieces! I tried banana pieces and Gerber cereal "Puffs" as her 1st finger food and she loves them! She begs me all the time for more! After this video, we've tried even more things like: cooked carrot bits & green bean pieces, bits of raspberries & mandarin oranges, black beans, and chunks of wheat bread! She hasn't turned anything down yet- she's a great eater and loves to try new things!

Caught this on video a few minutes later- this is the best she's walked so far! She's getting so strong and has great balance! She even squats down & gets back up, then I love how she starts "dancing" after that! Hilarious! I think she likes walking!
