I am not a very good juggler these days... Sorry I haven't blogged for a bit. I haven't even used my camera... so no pictures on this post... I am staying on top of the housework, kids' homework, and Chris' needs. I am keeping up with my Relief Society duties and staying nearly current with my homework. I am not, however, keeping up with my internet responsibilities! I haven't blogged in a while. I have read some blogs from my cell phone while waiting at the doctor or while driving here and there (Chris was driving!) but I haven't commented on anyone's blogs. I have really dropped the ball and I miss it! I miss blogging. It is a lot of fun and a great release. So, I will try to do better.
Chris had a large fatty cyst removed from his right shoulder. It was supposed to be a quick and easy thing... but was a lot larger and more involved and he ended up with two incisions and 24 stitches! He was very sore for the first week but is doing much better this week. His stitches come out on Friday. He's also had appointments with his knee doctor, allergy and urology. He thinks he spends all his time at the clinic... but hopefully we'll get all his issues worked out.
Jessica won a contest for the local chapter of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution. It was an essay contest and she won 2nd place! She gets to read part of her essay in a few weeks at an award ceremony and she's so excited! I will definitely take some pictures of that!
Jeremiah has been working on his Pinewood Derby car with Chris. It looks awesome and has been a fun project for them. The race is this Saturday and I hope he wins everything! He would love that! It sure looks fast!!! I'll take some pictures of that too!
Jillian is just a joy and keeps me laughing through all the things I do in a day. She is a beautiful singer and loves cartoons - thankfully! She is just awesome and letting me sit and ignore her at the computer for hours each day! I am really lucky to have such a sweet 3 year old. She told us last night that when she grows up she will be FIVE. Love her!
We had a great Super Bowl weekend. We got to sleep in on Saturday morning and took the kids to see "Hotel For Dogs" that afternoon. It was a cute show and the kids loved it. It was nice to get away from home and all the things to do. Sunday we enjoyed our church meetings and then, after a nice nap, went over to the Bastian's for a Super Bowl party. It was a lot of fun with great food and awesome friends. I'm never very into watching the game... but this year it was so fun and the game was actually interesting! The commercials weren't all that great, but it was an enjoyable evening.
We are thinking we'll be staying on post. There is a four bedroom coming available here in the next month or so. We are a little down about having to continue to deal with Balfour Beatty and the kids having to attend the sub-standard school here... but we're going to do it. Living off-post is not in the cards for us. Sadly. It's all good though. I walked all the way through a 4 bedroom and was amazed at all the storage!!! I have dreams about organizing all our stuff! It's going to be great! AND I will get a room to put all my stampin' stuff.... Yay! I'm not looking forward to the moving part but it will be ok. I'll keep you posted on that - at least as much as I can get to my computer for BLOGGING and not homework!!
