The Hahn family invited us to their Christmas Party and we had so much fun! We always get delicious food there! My favorite was the Baked Brie and Lexie's fresh guacamole! Yummy!! The kids just played and played and Chris and I talked with our friends and enjoyed some great adult conversation! :) Lexie always takes family pictures of everyone so I had her snap a couple of us in our red and green!

Friday we went to a fun Christmas Cookie Exchange with our Homeschool group! It was awesome!! The cookie selection was fabulous and the kids loved hanging out together, making cards for the Veterans and eating lots of cookies and fudge! :)

Jess and Jilli were in heaven!

We went to our second Winterland of Gingerbread event on Thursday, put on by K12 (the company we homeschool with!) It was a lot of fun to see all the gingerbread houses that the other students had created and all the hours that went into some of them! We didn't build a house this year... (I just wasn't feeling up to it. I don't feel up to a LOT of things right now!) but we still went and judged the ones that others had brought. The girls did the little Christmas craft and Jeremiah just sat and kept me company. His favorite house was a little village that our friends had made with Lego guys on it! It wasn't really about the houses for him... just the accessories! :) I was amazed at a HUGE contribution that ended up winning the grand prize. It was almost as tall as Jillian if she could have stood next to it!! Talk about a LOT of work!! :) Guess we have something to strive for... Next year! :)

Jess had to create a model of the heart for her science lab and I got some photos of her. She did a really good job with it and after she had finished she ate it! :) We love science labs!!

Ta Da!!

We were able to visit the Columbia SC Temple again on the Saturday after Thanksgiving. It was marvelous! And I got to see an old friend!! Greg Francom was there!! I got to meet his sweet family and it was lovely to see someone familiar! Chris and I were so glad we had accompanied Jess for her youth trip. It was a really beautiful day.

It's that time again... Time to put up the Christmas tree and get out all our fun decorations! It was a family affair as usual. The kids love placing the ornaments on our little faux tree. I think the tree has shrunk this year... It couldn't be that all my kids are getting soooo tall!! :)

We spent Thanksgiving this year with some new friends, the Webb family! They invited us over to share in their feast and boy was it delicious! I would have taken pictures of the awesome food... but it all disappeared into our bellies too quick! :) They have a lovely home and it was a wonderful place to be for the holiday. We watched football on the big screen and let the kids play and wrestle with the dog. We're so thankful that we were able to be together again this year. It was fun to get a family photo in front of their fireplace. Together for Thanksgiving is the best way to be!
