this update consists mostly of the month of may.....too many great ones not to post. we had the cousins over one afternoon- great backyard outside time. overcast so perfect time for some photos.

mom & dad had the fun duty of unpacking once home; these two got to hit the water again- sprinkler style!!! (hands down the sweetest big brother ever. he loves her so much. makes a mommas heart melt)

I can say I am going to "catch up" and keep blogging but obviously that is NOT happening! I don't want to miss the chance though to document these little ones. The years just seem to go by faster and faster and I don't want to forget all the great times. Photos are one of my most treasured items...they would be one of my top three things I would grab if we ever needed to dash out of the house! Let's hope not! So....here will be a quick recap in pictures of february, march, & april 2013!

the book launch! march, april & may were super busy; the birth of Circa's new book, The Welcoming House, would be one of those reasons why it was go-go-go months. i am so proud to be a part of this amazing team.  they are my second family. i love each one of them so much!

sweet pea:: it might almost be your half birthday but i sure didn't want this post to slip by. turning two has brought so much adventure and excitement in to our family. you keep us on our toes at all hours of the day & you love us so much even when you don't get you way. your smile really goes from ear to ear! i feel like overnight you turned in to this little girl but i keep trying to lather you with mustela lotion every night to keep a little bit of that baby in you. you have definitely been our more challenging baby but i think God just wanted us to learn about patience a little bit more :). your big brother is your very best friend and you want to do and say every single little thing that he does. we like to call you two "pete and repeat". he is always protecting you and hugging and kissing you every time you get hurt or get in to trouble. i have no doubt he will be right by your side every step of the way.
your second birthday was a day i will never forget since mommy  lost one of her best friends that very next day. the whole day of your birthday was a roller coaster of emotions with Amy and during your party at the house the news started to pour in that she wasn't doing well. i prayed so hard asking Him to let her hold on to that day so that you would always have january 4th just as your birthday and not a day to be shared with grief. He listened and i was so thankful. one of your favorite things to sing is "give me jesus" and it melts my heart every time those sweet words come out of your mouth. you know when i need Amy and you always somehow sing it on those days when i really need to hear it.

we had some friends from school over the following weekend to celebrate.  betty, gray, & wallace. it was a double date kind of a night!

thanks to the talented Amanda Anderson out of Charlotte we were able to get some awesome family pics before the holiday season began. i highly recommend her! so fun and down to earth and totally patient with kiddos that don't stop moving or cooperating! i was so excited for this day because i am always the one behind the lens. i love that i have these beautiful pics with my kiddos. i think they would be so perfect in a big 8 x 10 on a nice white wall!
