last week he woke up with a swollen eye! poor little dude! luckily it was just a sty under his top eyelid & within a few days it was gone. the picture below is a daily activity! a car ride is a must when we get home from school.

i'm a little late on the pics for the 4th but better late than never!! we headed to sea island for most of the week of the 4th to be with brett's family & had a blast! kelly, will, & lilly are there for most of the summer so we are lucky enough to crash with them for a few days. john came and so did brett's parents so we had the whole fam! lilly was our built in babysitter so it was nice to actually sit down and relax on a vacation. henry had the best time in the pool- he just kept jumping in, going under & asking for "mo, mo"!! i think we need some swim lessons because the boy has no fear. here are a few to check out.....we've had more summer adventures since then so be on the lookout for more!

at school they have him on a regular cup, no more sippys, so now he is obsessed with drinking out of one. the water cooler at the pool was the highlight for him.

i mean is she not the cutest little girl you have ever seen?? this is libby claire mcgarity. she is the daughter of elizabeth mcgarity- who was my neighbor & partner in crime while growing up on harvard place in the early years. libby claire was playing friday morning at her grandparents vacation home and fell about 9 feet from a loft onto a tile floor. she was air lifted to the hospital & sent immediately into a team of about 14 people to take care of her. later that evening they sent her into surgery where they noticed her fractured skull had lacerated the main artery in her brain. she lost about 1 1/2 times the amount of blood in her body. before going into surgery matt & elizabeth were told to say their good-byes to libby claire. i just could not imagine. with God's guidance & hands on her she made it through! i believe on sunday they decided to put her into a medically induced coma for her brain to rest. yesterday elizabeth update their caringbridge site & sounded very hopeful. i was so glad to hear some improvement but every time i read an entry from her tears just fill up in my eyes.

i think someone in elizabeth's family has ordered hot pink bracelets to wear in honor of libby c so i am trying to figure out how to get some. if you would like one just let me know. they are also tying hot pink bows on a tree in front yards so you will definitely be seeing one at our house!

i know libby claire is a fighter. i can already tell. and i know she especially is because i am sure she gets it from her mamma. elizabeth has two older brothers and one younger brother who used to beat up on her all the time but she was always standing up for herself and taking charge! i know libby c has that talent!

i cannot stop thinking of her. i wake up and go to bed thinking and praying for her-- constantly-- all day long & i ask you to do just the same. push her to the very top of your prayer list-- along with matt & elizabeth, their three other children and the 5th in elizabeth's belly. i know that God is pouring His strength and placing His arms over libby claire right now. i just want everyone else to be doing the same.
