we made it to the end of the second week of potty training!! it wasn't a perfect 10 but i will say that henry did much better than i thought he was going to do the past two weeks. first week was filled with lots of accidents but this week had much more improvement.

here he is from saturday morning with a breakfast of champions celebration. he got his doughnut (his new favorite weekend treat...we walk up to cotswold & hen gets a doughnut & mom gets starbucks......yummy for both). He also wanted to proudly display his three new cars that he got each time he pooped in the potty! mcqueen (red car) has been around since we discovered CARS, so for this weeks treats he decided he wanted sheriff, mater, and doc. they go everywhere we go & he doesn't let them out of his site!

lots of funny stories the past two weeks from potty training so i won't bore you with too many but i had to write a few down so i don't forget. last tuesday he finally went #2 on the potty & it was at school (he had the whole fear thing going on & wouldn't even try it). brett & i met at church to pick him up so brett went inside to get him. i was still outside on the phone & here he comes out of the church with the BIGGEST grin i have ever seen screaming "mommy....i poo peed on the potty! i get Doc (the car)!!!". it was honestly one of those moments when i really wish i had the video camera rolling. the next occasion, yes again going #2, was this past monday. again he had not gone in over a day so we knew he was totally stopped up. he comes running into the bathroom & says he needs to potty. sits down & i walk out for a second then come back in & with the reddest face i can tell what he is doing & before it is fully out he says "i get sheriff!!" in the funniest voice. again- i wish i had the video camera!! then, the last cute story, was yesterday. he had two big accidents in his underwear with the second one being over at lucy's house. he gets so upset when this happens. i was helping him change & trying to clean things out & he looks at me and says "mommy, please don't take my cars away". how could i ever do that with that precious face & sweet little voice??? he totally has me wrapped around his finger!!!

sorry for all the bathroom talk but that is what our days are consumed of lately! let's just hope we are on the road to even more improvement!

today was the first big boy day! henry's teachers thought we would test this week out to see how the potty training goes. if the start of the morning says anything then we need the diapers back on! he got up (had to have a bath for other reasons), got his big boy lighting mcqueen underwear on, posed for the picture, got his clothes on, ate breakfast, and then gave mommy and nice double treat in the new undies before heading out the door!!! i guess it will just be the first one of many! oh well!! we are in no rush but of course would love for one of these milestones to be checked off the list before number 2 arrives in january. enjoy the photos below- nice side view & then finally a smile to show his excitement! he is growing up way too fast for us!!!!

he insisted on having his baby in the picture....and don't you want to know what he has named his baby? here it goes: "ashley monica sara's jeep"....yes- totally weird. the first three are names of his teachers; the jeep is because sara has a green jeep & he is totally obsessed with it. i don't get it but he loves the full name. i think we can just roll with it :)
