Tribute to Dot

This is Dot the calf that Kolten took care of over the summer. She was blind and she wasn't able to nurse from her mamma so Kolten was able to take over the responsibility.
It was so cute to watch them together! She could hear him coming and her ears would stick straight up and she would walk toward his voice. She followed him anywhere when she was hungry by just following his voice. She got really sick right before we left to come back to Arizona and she passed away. Kolten cried. Well heck, so did I!! She was a sweet little calf.
Sitting here doing homework last night he started tearing up. I asked him what was wrong and he said that he missed Dot.
Here is a little video of how the calf follows him!
I just love this video. She had a fever so we were giving her a shot. Well when you take care of her that's what you have to do. No matter how old you are!!

1st day of Dental School!!

Lincoln's first day of dental school. We have been waiting for this day for so long! We couldn't be any happier that it finally happened for us! We have made some really good friend being here in Arizona and we are so grateful for their support.
We also couldn't have done this either without the support and love of our families! We know the Lord loves us and wants us here! Let the 4 year process begin!

Our New House!!

We lucked out big time by renting this little house! It's perfect for us! Here are a few pictures of the place.
This is the supposed to be dining room. I turned it into my office/reading room.
 Master bath
Hallway looking from my bedroom door to the kids. Left door is Kolten's, middle is Hatti & Quincies room, and the one of the right is their bathroom. If you look off the railing to the left you see stairs, off the other side you see the living room.
 The living room.

I am getting the girls a bunk bed so their room isn't totally done but this is what we have so far.
 The kids' bathroom.
My kitchen. I am getting a new microwave soon! This one blew up on me!
I even broke down and bought me a new table with matching chairs.
The family room. This view is taken from the kitchen. There is also another opening from the living room.
 Side shot of the house.
The rooms not shown are not totally done yet. I guess all that I haven't taken pictures of are my bedroom and Kolten's. I will get to work!

Ward Camp Out!

Our ward went camping up in Flagstaff. I couldn't believe how green it was on the drive there. We went through a few monsoons to get there but we made it!

We were in real good company with the ward, but especially the Mauchley's!
 Their baby got trapped!
 Good buds!

Back to School!!

School started her on the 13th of Aug. Hatti was really excited. She loves school!
Kolten was excited too. He met his teacher and was way excited.
So proud of my kiddos! Hatti comes home from school and says that it was "AWESOME!" Kolten would agree on most days! He would rather go to play with his friends!!
Quincie likes her time home with me! She knows she gets what she wants!

Movin' back in

We put our stuff in storage and went home for the summer! Now we get to pull it all back out!
It actually survived the 100+ degree weather! My storage containers didn't do that well though! We ended up throwing away 3 of them.
The little Ford Focus is buried under there somewhere!!
Uhhh... now to unpack it all. See Lincoln? That's how I felt too!
The kids found their toys and had them out before I could even make their beds! Oh well! It kept them entertained!!

RailRoad Bridge

For some reason this railroad bridge meant something to my family! Maybe cause there was a train that wrecked there when I was growing up or just the fact that it is it's been there awhile.
It must have been time for a new bridge.
 Before....
 During...

 After...

Diggin' Ditch

This is what we like to call my dad's Wheelchair! This thing goes places. There isn't much room for Quincie to go with him but he finds a spot for her!!

Back a bunch of years ago, water flowed through this field and underneath the railroad tracks. My brother is determined to make that happen once again.
It was my job to watch the kids and watch for trains. That's harder than it sounds! Trains are about as fast as kids!!
But in the meantime, we had fun!
Remember when I said this thing goes anywhere! I meant it!

After we were done we were so thirsty! We stopped at the spring for a nice cup of cold natural spring water!
Little Guy was covered in cow poo! True farm boy!

Rodeo Days in Preston

My sister in law Annette has been talking about Rodeo Days for as long as she has been married to Lincoln's brother. Well this year we decided to join them and it was as much fun as she said it was! There was a parade - I mean 1 of the 3 parades! We went to 1! What blows my mind is that they park their cars on the curb right after the 4th of July parades to save their spots for the last weekend in July! Crazy!!
The rides were all just 1 ticket each so we and about everybody else in the entire county was there! We had a great time!
