Tangled Birthday Party!

Hatti wanted a friend birthday party and Tangled was the theme. I had to much fun with this. I looked online for some fun ideas and tweaked them to my own. This cake is Rapunzel's tower.

All her little friends came and we had a party! We played a treasure hunt game with Pascal and the hunt led them to Rapunzel's crown.  Then they opened presents.

Then we ate lunch. I though it would be cute to have braided hoagies for lunch! They turned out awesome!

The kids had their picnic then we went out side in the 104 degree weather to hit the pinata!
Then we sang happy birthday and we sent the kids home with a cupcake! Thanks everyone for coming and for the awesome gifts! She had a great time and can't wait till her next birthday party!

Kids having fun with the remains of the pinata!

The neighbors missed the party but came by later and they brought her her favorite gift! They spoiled her! She got 4 princess outfits with a dress up box and accessories! I am so glad they moved in next door! They are wonderful! After this we went to their pool and swam for a few hours and soaked up the sun!  Isn't Hatti so cute?!! Thanks, McCue's!
Once I got to cleaning up all the mess, Lincoln was hovering this chocolate cake like a vulture would do to a dead cow. Next thing I know he has his face in it chomping away! haha! He said it was delicious! And it was!!

Hatti turns 5!!

Hatti celebrated her 5th birthday today! I can't believe she is that old already! She is such a sweet girl and I wouldn't trade her for anything. She loves to sing, dance, color, draw, play in water, play with Kolten & Quincie, and all her other friends. She is so helpful around the house and helps me take good care of Quincie during the day. She likes to cook too!
I asked Hatti where she wanted to go for lunch and she could pick anywhere, (Praying she wouldn't say McDonald's or Chucky Cheese)!! She picked The Cheesecake Factory! (YES!) I asked her why there and she said, "Because they have really good whipped cream!" OK let's go!! She told the server that it was her birthday and that she wanted whipped cream. She came back with a little ice cream sunday with a huge amount of whipped cream with a candle and all. They even sang to her!

She wanted everything Rapunzel so that we did! She got Tangled & Beauty and the Beast figurings...
 and....
 this outfit from Gramma!
This spot was so pretty with the stuff off the tree and these flowers so we took a few pictures.
I need photo shop so I can cut copy and paste faces for the pictures that work best. I can never get all 3 to look at the same time! Here is my attempts!

Phoenix temple progression

The Phoenix Temple is 10 minutes away from our house. It is on our way to the Library. So we stop every 2-3 weeks and take a picture. These first 2 pictures were taken on April 4.

These last 3 pictures were taken on April 17th. Two weeks apart. You can't really see the progression from this view because all of the progression is down in the hole. Click HERE to see that actual web site of the photo gallery. There is a missionary couple that work there on the grounds and in the visitors center trailer there and they take all the pictures. A lot are also donated. The Sister came and talked to our ward and told us all the wonderful things that is happening there. She said that the contractors are all LDS but obviously not all the workers. She did say that they can't listen to music, swear, and when they are done with the job at night everything needs to be cleaned up and put away. Very neat feeling there. My girls love to sit on this rail and watch.

This is the stone design that will be on the outside wall of the temple. Gorgeous!

100th Birthday of Disney on Ice!

I surprised Kolten and Hatti by taking them to Disney on Ice. They were really excited. But then we had to wait and wait and wait and watch everybody come in with all the cool toys and treats that they make and sale there. Well I am too cheap for all that stuff! So we had to settle with the bottled water, goldfish, and smarties I had stashed in my purse!
Kolten leaned over once it was about to start and he said, "mom, I am glad you brought me but I really wish you would buy me one of those toys." Talk about break your heart. But I still couldn't do it!
Then the show started and they both got over it until intermission and then it started all back up again!
Hatti loved all the princesses of course and Kolten liked Stitch and the Incredibles.
It was such a cute production and I am so glad my mom talked me into going with the kids!

Easter Weekend

We did our own Easter this year. But we were graced with the presence of Paul and Karma! We colored eggs. I only boiled one dozen so when we were done coloring the 12 then Kolten went to the fridge and started to color regular eggs. Whoops!
When had 2 easter egg hunts to attend. One in our community and one at Lincoln's school.
Lincoln and Paul helping the kids find eggs.
They laid out a ton of eggs but they were all gone within minutes. Hatti only got 4 and....
Kolten got a whole bunch. There were kids that were walking out of there with none so Kolten was nice enough and shared his.
Then we went to Midwestern (Lincoln's school) They had everything you could think of there. Good, games, prices, bouncy house, and even the Easter Bunny! We didn't want to wait in line for the bunny so we got a picture with the chick! Quincie likes that better cause the chick doesn't talk or move!!
They had eggs laid out everywhere! It wasn't much of a 'hunt' and is was a 'tip your basket just right on the ground and start running' type of deal! They had a blast though!
Quincie did really well for her very first try.
Go Hatti GO!!! she was a little intimidated by all the eggs and how fast kids were going!
 Then she got it down.
This is Hatti, Ella (our friend), and Kolten after their hunt! So much fun at Midwestern!
Easter morning. The girls got some really cute white dresses, Kolten got a tie that broke that afternoon. In fact, it didn't even make it through church, and fun Easter stuff.
 My silly husband!
 My sweet Easter kids!
Easter dinner was so yummy but this took the cake! Our Easter nest chocolate cake!
