Thanks to our family we were able to leave the boys and take a trip to our nation's capital. Before the trip, I was anxious to get on the flight. We told the baggage workers where we were going, and they recommended we take some fire arms with us. Yikes.
Here's a few highlights:
The sculpture garden; it was unique and interesting. I bet you didn't know D.C. loves themselves some good potato sack racing.
This art exhibit was in a museum. I thought of Twizzler Pull and Peels the whole time. Yes, I can tell you how much they run at our local grocery store any day of the week!
River's a little jumpy and usually feels like she's falling, hence this large Air and Space Museum was a little grand for little mis 22 inches to take in.
This was also an exhibit in a museum. I felt bad for the guard that had to stand in the room guarding the lit fence all day, and Tanner felt bad that money was going towards the man to guard the lit fence all day :) Check out River's neon shirt!
Ahhh, tourists. After walking miles we were pretty jealous of them. Long live the Segway!
We learned there are some cool neighborhoods just outside of the capital, and Tanner took me on a date to check things out. Before we left Tanner kept asking total strangers to watch little River (and with the most serious face too). Can you believe we didn't get any takers?!
Touchdown!
Abe was on of the best parts for me. The other, was being along side my sweety and spending some serious quality time together for almost a whole week.
Now that's monumental.
