Zoo Day!
A few families from HA got together for a fun day at the zoo. There was a chance of rain, but it ended up being a nice, cool day. It was just the Peschkes and Domines at first, and then the Spells and Grubbs arrived in the afternoon (sorry no pics of the latter group!).

Evangelism by Just Talking
So I'm driving down the road today, listening to my long list of podcasts, and Tommy Nelson, pastor of Denton Bible and of the Song of Solomon series fame, is talking about the guys he's met at weight rooms over the course of his life. He names them one-by-one describing how God brought them in his life, allowed him to just talk with them, over time, introduce them to Jesus Christ, and what they're doing today.
You don't have to listen to the whole thing, just the first 20 minutes. It is great encouragement to me as I don't ever think I've ever had the gift of evangelism, but I do know I can talk to people - just talk - and let God direct my words.

Jesus' Mission is Our Mission
This past Sunday we kicked off our church-wide 4 week study on evangelism by taking a closer look at the Great Commission, what Jesus commanded, and how His mission has become our mission. This coming Sunday we will look at our role as Christ's ambassadors (2 Cor 5:14-21) and royal priests (1 Peter 2:9-10). And don't forget...
