Peek-A-Boo

Peek-A-Boo I See You! Happy Friday Everyone!!

It's HUGE!

Last summer a bee got into our bathroom. I hate all creepy crawly things! So as calmly as I could I called Heath and asked if he needed to run some errands at the office that morning, because I needed him to stop by and take care of a little problem. I told him the problem, he laughed, and said he would be right there. He got home, acquired the fly swatter from the garage, handled the bee, kissed me goodbye and went back to work. As I stood there watching him drive away, I thought, "I could have done that. Why didn't I think to get the fly swatter? Oh yea, because all the kids and I were sitting in the middle of my bed, WATCHING the bee to make sure that it didn't get away."

Well, last night I walked into the kitchen to see a bee on the floor. And this was NOTHING like last time!!! The bee was HUGE. I may have screamed, but only a little, and I probably won't ever admit that I did. Naturally, I called my hero.....voicemail......oh no. So, I called again....voicemail....OH NO. (When I was pregnant and I called three times while he was in a meeting, that was the sign that I was in labor and he needed to come.) I knew if I made that phone call then I would be putting the severity of this incident up there with labor. Hmmmm what should I do? That thing is WAY to big for the fly swatter.....I found a big bowl and threw the bowl in the general direction of the bee and thankfully it landed correctly. (It was a big bowl) And then, I CALLED! Yes, I am a big baby. I got the voicemail, but about 5secs later he called me back. More laughing, "I'm on my way dear" Ah relief, knowing that the hero was on his way and the culprit was securely under the bowl...I took some pictures. :)

Happy Easter!

We celebrated a wonderful Easter this year. It was nice to take sometime to remember the Savior and all that he has done for each of us. Hopefully we successfully helped the kids realize what Easter was all about. And a big THANKS to the Red Grandma for helping us look so stylish on this special day!!

The Hunt

The kids had a blast hunting for eggs in the backyard. They were great little detectives and found them all, I think. :) Except for Tell, who was sleeping. (Yes, he does that a lot) Now they take turns hiding the empty eggs and finding them all over again!

Decorating Fun

We had loads of fun decorating eggs this year! The highlights were Gideon ever so not gently placing his egg in the blue color. It got himself, Daddy, and the table all blue. Trace got his egg carefully placed in the yellow, and then had to drink it right up. Tell was feeling left out without his own cup. And Kodi loved the glitter, which amazingly multiplies and is everywhere.

Where's Waldo?...I mean Gideon

I know this may be a bit tricky, but can you find Gideon in this picture? He was hiding from us, we just couldn't find the little guy. :)

Tent/Fort = Fun

Kodi and Gideon LOVE to make tents and forts all over the house! The NaziMother in me makes them clean the entire house before we make said tent. Because this "fun" little stipulation was put on - the house gets straightened up at least once a day.

Sideways Video

We are potty training Trace these days. He is doing very well. The tricks that motivate him are:

1. He likes to wash his hands

2. He likes the 2 chocolate chips that he gets

3. And he likes to watch "Bob, the Builder"

He is also saying loads and loads of things which I think are just adorable. He actually sings the "Bob the Builder" theme song, however as you see in the video as soon as I ask him to sing he clams right up. But isn't he just adorable talking? Yea, I thought so too. :)

Pretty Girl

Kodi is getting more and more independent each day. Today she got dressed, made her bed, did her hair and put on her jewelry and boots! She was very proud of herself, and so was I. (Ignore Hannah in the backgroud, I haven't fed her breakfast yet so she just follows me around)

Trace is sleeping...

How would it be to just fall asleep anywhere, anytime....yea I'm jealous. :)

Family Time

So we had our first family BBQ of the season a few weeks ago. We had a lot of good food, and good fun, and typical of Cedar City weather the next weekend it was snowing and really COLD. We had a whole house full of people, but by the time things were rolling the camera was far from my fingers. :)
