Exciting Update

Now I know that everyone out there has been waiting and waiting and waiting. The big day happened on Saturday late in the evening. Sorry if you didn't get your phone call letting you know the news as soon as it happened, but we were so excited around here that phone calls just weren't made. And then to our sheer excitement it happened again on Sunday! Our chick chickies laid eggs! So far today the kids have gone to check for eggs three times today and it is only 9am. YEA for Bitty and Lola! :)

Giggle Guys and Walking

So Tell is now a walking fool. He has decided that he can be faster walking and that is now his choice of transportation. And as many of you know I have a small collection of what we refer to as "Giggle Guys". Just recently we pulled them all out and put fresh batteries in them all. (Yes we push them all at the same time.) Anyways Tell loves these little guys as much as I do. He is normally carrying around two or three and loving them everytime that they laugh. However this does throw off his balance in the walking department. But, it does not stop him from trying over and over again. I love to watch him walk and lead with his belly. Too Funny!

Back to School Night

OK folks, I think that I have a disease. (Not like my sister's disease where she has to match EVERYTHING, no not like that.) Last night was my little dolly's first back to school night. It was hard on me. I was on the verge of tears for most of it. She was acting very shy. We didn't get to meet her teacher very well because there were loads of parents and kids there. So next week when she goes for her assessment we will get to know her teacher a bit better, one on one. I am so glad that she is growing up, learning new things, and wanting to become her own little person. With that said, I'm sad, I'm scared, I have a disease. It is breaking my heart. It really doesn't feel like it has been 5 years since she came into our lives. I feel like I am going to miss so much. I guess I am just spoiled in that she has been with me, and I can see all the new stuff she learns and does. Wow, am I babbling. Stay focused, Jeri.....

Anyways, as I was thinking about all this last night I was thinking about Mommys. How Mommys have to go through hard things merely because they are Mommys. And how each stage of motherhood holds different challenges for us all. Like me having stress about sending my girly to school, while other Mommys have jumped that hurdle already and found another one waiting patiently. So today I would like to give a great big cheer to all the Mommys in the world! To all the Mommys who are working night and day to help their kids grow and become wonderful adults. You are great. To all the Mommys who are in middle of a hurdle. You are not alone. To all the Mommys that have overcome hurdles. You are amazing.

A huge thanks to all the Mommys out there that have helped me be the best one that I can be. Been there when I needed you, helped me up when I fell, and cheered for me in the background. Thank You!

Pocket Ace

For some reason today was Trace day. I love that dirty faced, blue eyed, blond haired, tank of a boy. He wanted to hold my hand all day today. He would just follow me around "assisting" in all that I needed to do today. I learned a few things along the way. For example glue stick looks VERY much like chap stick. In fact it took much discussion to persuade him that it was not chap stick. Tell can walk, but chooses to crawl because he isn't as fast walking yet. So Trace would follow Tell all over walking beside him with his hand on his head. I would ask Trace what he was doing and he would just smile. I think that he has brushed his teeth a dozen times today. And I don't think that I will ever get tired of hearing him say, "Mo Tor Cycle"

Weekend of Visitors

Last weekend Seth, Melanie, Marisa and Skyler came to visit. It was great to visit and catch up with them. The kids played, and played, and played some more. Just the way it should be. I spent loads of time loving the baby. He is adorable! And to make things more fun the Red Grandma was here as well. Typical Grandma style she spoiled us all rotten! Thanks to all for coming to visit and entertaining us!

Oh, and because of all the baby love...I didn't get any pictures. I guess you all will have to come back soon so I can get pictures. :0)

Harley Time

This last weekend amidst the craziness, Rick brought over his Harley to show us. The kids LOVED it. Trace, my little tender heart, loves motorcycles so much. However he was to intimidated by Rick to get on it. But the other kids and myself all got a ride up the canyon. It was a blast! Even Tell couldn't get enough. Kodi was wearing her "ballerinatard" while riding the motorcycle. Again she is girly is whatever she chooses to do. (She made up that word, I love it)

Emery County

So last weekend we were off to Emery County. We had a blast visiting all the family and friends. Aunt Danna let us and our monsters invade her home, and oh did we enjoy it. As expected Kodi sweet talked Nolan into whatever she wanted to do.
Grandma Oveson had a big pig and the kids couldn't get enough of that thing. Uncle DeMar gave Heath a tour of his shop. Grandma Claudia fed us a super lunch.
And yes, Uncle Darce got me on a horse. (I think that I have been on a horse six times total in my life.) Sunday we headed to Price where Uncle Seth blessed his new baby. Skyler was so handsome and good.
Heath and I have been to Emery County lots of times through the years. Each time we take a few minutes to go to the cemetery in Cleveland. For some reason this time was different.
This weekend I missed a man that I have never met.
I'm thankful that we have family to help us give our kids experiences that we just can't do on our own right now. By the time we were loaded up and headed home we were exhausted from all the fun we had.
