Easter at the Cabin

A fun Easter weekend at the Cabin!

Karate Kids

The boys tried out karate for the first time and have really enjoyed it (for the most part). Luke made it into the "Splits Club" after only a couple of weeks of starting! He has always been so limber! They've progressed from their White belts, to Orange, Yellow, and are now Camoflauge belts! Their instructors, Miss Mitchell and Mr. Spencer, have been so great!

Flag Football

Luke's dream of playing football finally came true this past Spring. His flag football team was named "Those Guys" and Luke was lucky enough to have his dad as the coach. With a team full of first time players, they didn't exactly crush any of their opponents, but they all played with so much heart and determination. They definitely improved as the season progressed and I think they had a good time, which is what's important!

Chase's Blessing

Chase was given his blessing on February 5th. We were fortunate to have so many family members from out of town come: Great Grandma May, Aunt Teresa, the Holbrook Grandparents, Aunt Alayna, Uncle Marcus, and a surprise visit from the Allen Grandparents!

Viva Las Vegas

Our new home!
Summerlin, Las Vegas, Nevada
After the baby was born, our family got ready for the move to Nevada for Curt to work on the MountainView Hospital expansion. We arrived in Vegas the first part of January. We have been really happy with our house, neighborhood, school, and ward! It's a great place for our family to be at this time.

Chase William Holbrook

Chase William Holbrook was born on December 16th 2011
He weighed 8 pounds 3 ounces and after going through the induction and delivery with no epidural, I felt every ounce! I wouldn't go back and change a thing though. It was a great delivery and such a miracle to bring another sweet little spirit into the world. After experiencing difficulties with ovulation for the first three pregnancies, a breast cancer diagnosis followed by major surgery and chemo/radiation, I thought my dreams of having more babies was over. What a miracle and a blessing Chase is in our lives. I can't even describe in words the feelings I felt as our new baby rested his head on my chest. A chest full of scars and deformity, but a perfectly formed, beautiful baby came from this body. A true testament that Heavenly Father is mindful of each one of us and has a specific plan for us. Each one of our boys is a blessing and have been brought into our family at an important time. We are so grateful for each of them and LOVE them so much!
