our favorite missionary

We spent a lot of time with our family before Tanner left for his mission.

Sadie painted Harper's toenails.

Everyone came to one of Bosten's baseball games:

We went out with Grandpa and Lynn:

Then it was time to say goodbye... Harper was really sad about it:

last day of school

Last day of school! Hooray for summer vacation!

kindergarten graduation

This cutie finished kindergarten and got his ticket to first grade.

They had a cute program at school, and then got their certificate and hat (it was red, his favorite color...yay!)

He was pretty excited to have a whole bunch of people who love him there.

We sure love Mrs. Miller!

Now, on to first grade!

this and that

I decided to strip the banisters/railings in the house and refinish them (what was I thinking?!). It was a tedious, messy, backbreaking job.

I stocked up on tillamook cheese when it was on sale. The cashier couldn't figure out why I had so many. I kept saying, "but it's Tillamook cheese!"

We were pretty excited to see a coke bottle with uncle Devon's name on it. We had to take a picture and send it to him.

Family work party at Mimi and Papa's

It finally decided to be summer.

Kaden had his own cheering section at one of his games.

on my phone

Random pictures on my phone:

Baseball started! We had a Pirate and a Cardinal:

Another snow day:

We finally replaced the plants in the front:

Kyle and Kaden went on a field trip to the tulip gardens:

I made two signs for teacher appreciation:

We got piggies in Harper's hair:

She's thinking about taking off:

Bos lost another tooth!

Did I mention that dad was coaching the Cardinals?

Sitting up by herself like a champ:

Our favorite food truck was in town, so we went for a date:

field trip to the zoo

This blog seems to be slowly dying, but I'm not ready to give it up yet.  Here's another round of updates.

I went to the zoo with the Kindergarteners. It was the one day in weeks that it was supposed to rain, but when we got up there it was snowing. Crazy!...especially since it was in April. It was freezing, but we had fun.

Bosten got to ride home with me, and we stopped at Zuppas for soup. It warmed us right up.

blessing and lunch

After the temple, we went back to our building for Harper's blessing.

Those who participated in her blessing:
Kyle (duh)
Papa
Cory
Logan
Ryan
Adam
Grandpa Fred
Grandpa Don
Grant

We had set up the night before for lunch. I knew exactly how I wanted it to look, and it all came together. I think my mom thought I was a crazy person, but in the end it was just perfect.
We wanted to have a fun nod to her heritage, and I'd been working on the decorations for weeks.
(I made all of the pinwheels, cut out all of the hibiscus flowers, wrapped silverware with raffia, etc).

We had crissonts, meat/cheese, strawberries, chips, cookies, water bottles and Hawaiian Sun drinks (I had to track those down...but we thought they would be fun).

It was a fun way to end the day.
