Science Museum

Friday May 24 James took the day off so he could go to pool therapy with Addy and then take her to the aquarium and butterfly exhibit at the science museum.  She LOVED the aquarium (especially the salt water tank with all the "Dory" fish) and got excited when we saw the river tank with all the turtles in it!  She loved the butterfly exhibit especially when one butterfly kept flying over her head so she could see it.  The volunteers told us that the butterfly exhibit wasn't quite finished yet as they were waiting on the delivery of the exotic butterflies from Coasta Rica so we plan to go back once they make their arrival!  The science museum was a bust as they aren't finished and have A LOT left to do!

28 weeks

Friday the 17th I had my 28 week appointment which included the glucose sugar test (yuck)!!  I was also scheduled for an ultrasound because at 20 weeks Bryson didn't cooperate so the tech wasn't able to get all the images she needed for my doctor (yay for us)!  This time around Bryson cooperated and the tech was able to see everything she needed to see (heart, spine and face)!  The tech mentioned that she could see hair growing on Bryson's head and he even gave us a few smiles!!  My appointment with Dr. Curtis was good, while we were there we went ahead and scheduled my next 4 appointments (now I go every 2 weeks...wow!!)

Easton's Dedication and Mother's Day

Easton was dedicated on Mother's Day Sunday! It was also children's service so it was so cute watching the older kids be involved during the service!  Addy attended the children's message and LOVED it!!

We both were exhausted after a cookout at James parents but snapped a quick picture to remember our last Mother's Day just the two of us :)  Can't believe how swollen I already am and I'm only 28 weeks and it's not summer weather yet....I'm in BIG trouble!!!

27 weeks

Thursday I woke up thinking I hadn't remembered feeling Bryson before I went to bed Wednesday night (which is unusually as normally before bed he is kicking and punching like crazy).  I decided I wasn't going to worry but to just grab a coke on my way to work and see if that gets him moving!  As the morning went on I didn't notice any kicks so I called my OB's nurse to ask her about some lab work I had done and while on the phone I mentioned how I hadn't noticed/or remembered Bryson kick so she had me come in for a quick ultrasound.  I really wasn't worried because I'm so active at the preschool I probably just didn't notice any kids and or I was thinking he was just sleeping pretty good!

As soon as the ultrasound tech put the wand on my belly he immediately kicked the snot out of me so I knew all was good (little stinker)!!  The tech said he was a very stubborn baby because he still wasn't cooperating by allowing her to see the things they needed to see from my 20 week u/s and said that when I came back on the following Friday for my 28 week appointment it could be tons of fun!  We both agreed that hopefully the sugar test would get him moving the right way so she could see all the things they  needed to see (lip, nose, heart and spine)!  She said the ultrasound estimated him to be around 2.8lbs!  After my ultrasound I saw one of the nurse practitioners so she could go over the ultrasound and to make sure I didn't have any questions or concerns.

Bryson's furniture/bedding

Bryson's room is in a very slow progress but it's starting to come together (well we at least have the furniture and bedding)!
ignore the fabric at the bottom...trying to decide on what color "bedskirt"

BIG thanks to Smokey for driving down to Martinsville to pick up the furniture and Randy for helping James move the furniture into Bryson's room and Lindsay for helping me figure out where it needs to go and putting all the knobs on :)

Build a Bear with Aubrey

For Aubrey's 4th Birthday Lindsay wanted to take the girls to Build a Bear so the girls could make bears for their baby brothers.  We ended up rescheduling it because Aubrey was a having a tough time with her allergies and we didn't want to risk it with Addy especially since it was April and that's the dreaded month!  We took the girls on Friday April 26 and they had so fun! Aubrey picked a bunny for Cael and Addy chose a puppy

Addy's turn to stuff Bryson's puppy

Aubrey helped give "Duke" a bath
I LOVE how they are looking at each other in this picture.  They are the sweetest friends and the closest two girls could be without being sisters!

Addy was very insisted on the puppy AND naming him Duke (Daddy was very proud of the name)
