Our little rocker!

Yesterday Margaret got her first hair cut by mom! Today she stuck her head on a giant green stamp, covering herself in ink! This is our little rocker!

Shoveling out the car

We got our first real snow this week and Margaret helped us shovel the driveway!

Rock Star

Nothing to do after a show but lay on a pillow, shirtless, and tune your guitar.

What hurts?

Dale: "Did you hurt yourself?"
Margaret: "Yeaaaaaaaaaa"
Dale: "Where does it hurt?"
Margaret: "Butt"
Dale: "Do you want me to kiss it?"
Margaret: "He he he! Yeaaaaaaaah!"

Please Touch museum

The Please Touch museum is an amazing children's museum with two floors of activities for kids. We could have spend days there! After a couple hours, Margaret had disintegrated into mania from over stimulation- but it was so fun!

Ikea

We took a trip to the Philly Ikea- my first Ikea experience! Margaret climbed into all the model beds and pretended to nap. I just tried not to spend money or run into people.

Ikea Cart Spinning

Margaret loved spinning around in the Ikea cart!

Washington Square

Trip to Philly

Margaret and I went on a weekend trip to Philadelphia to visit my friend Kim. We had a blast! We walked around the city, went to the Zoo, shopping, and the Please Touch Museum. We also ate some fantastic food! Margaret was a great traveling companion. She loves to sing songs in the car and play peek-a-boo with her "Pinky". At the Zoo- she saw a family behind us in line, pointed her finger and said, "Baby!". Then, " Dats Baby Momma! Baby Daddy!".

Leaf swimming video

Here is a video from the Leaf Swimming afternoon~

Leaf swimming

Great November weekend- 70 degree weather and sunny. Perfect for "leaf swimming" as Margaret calls it. The girls had fun counting one, two three, go! and jumping into a pile of leaves. We later had to pluck leaves out of Margaret's diaper.

Halloween 2009

This Halloween was a blast! It was a surprisingly warm Oct night and we pulled in quite a haul! Dale and I feel a little bad for exploiting Margaret to get candy for us- but we will get over it! Rowan was a Viking and Margaret was an Indian princess. Our friends the Endys joined us for a night of pizza, cupcakes, and trick or treating. Margaret caught on quickly, running from house to house, saying" Trick-o-trick-o-trick-o Treat!" and "some-MO! some-MO!" and quickly taking candy to put into her bucket. I can't imagine how she would act if she actually knew what was inside the wrappers! Rowan closed down some houses and the end of the night- with people giving her all of their left-over candy!

No on 1 picnic

Liz and Kris recently took both their families to the NO on 1 Campaign family picnic to support marriage equality in Maine. We are hoping things go our way this Nov. 3rd! Was a perfect day on a great playground!

Learning how to use the escalator

One of Margaret's favorite rides at the mall is the escalator. She is learning how to ride it with grace...

OMG Mom!

You know you are overdramatic when your 20 month old starts saying "Ohmy Ga!" several times a day.

We went to the park this afternoon and played with cousin Claire. Margaret is looking more and more like Phil Spector every day!

Apple Picking

We went apple picking in Raymond, ME last weekend and picked a bushel and a half! Child labor is amazing. Rowan and especially Margaret just kept filling the bags with Macs and Paula Reds. Margaret kept yelling "Mo apple! Mo apple!".

Return of the Blog

Ok- After a near year hiatus from the blog- we are back! This time I promise to be more faithful to the blog- and less faithful to Facebook.

After leaving Maine Med, I took some time to go back to school for nursing. Deciding that it wasn't the right fit, I am back on the job market and have some interviews lined up for next week. Dale is starting his last year of school and is working hard. He spends 16 hours a week at Logan House- a home for the homeless. Rowan is now in fifth grade and queen of the school. She went to London this summer with my folks and had a blast! Margaret is now 20 months old. She is quite a talker and climber! She loves her new daycare and all of her friends there. Here are some photos from the year!
