I found out today that "eleven-tween" is a number.

We recently had a party to celebrate Margaret's second birthday. It was a hit- great friends, bubble wrap, cake, and a tent! What more could a two year old ask for?

Rowan recently took place in a huge multi-school mathlete competition. She and the Bath team came down to Portland in matching sweatshirts to take on the other 5th graders of Southern Maine.

After a warm week in the islands, we came home to a fantastic snow storm! Margaret got her first sledding experience and loved it! There is a golf course just around the corner from our house that becomes a popular sledding destination in the winter. We spent an hour going up and down the hills. Rowan flew down the hill over and over again and Margaret was a real trooper, even after face plants!

Dale, Margaret, and I joined my parents and Donald, Yeseli, and Melany for Christmas in St. John, U.S. Virgin Islands. It was so wonderful to get away from the cold weather of Maine! We played in the sand, swam in the ocean, and just plain relaxed. Margaret and Melany played with bubbles and opened presents next to the beautiful Christmas tent.
