Crazy Hair

This is how wild Zoe's hair can get!! I always take out her hair bows and rubber bands from her hair when she goes to sleep so when she wakes up from naps she looks a little crazy. She kind of looks like Lyle Lovett!!! Hahaha!!!

9 month checkup

Zoe is lovely and thriving. That was what her Dr. wrote in Zoe's health card. She is growing so fast. She weighed 19 lbs and 3 ounces which is 55% ile and she was 29 1/2 inches tall which is 95% ile. She's been following her growth curve nicely so we are happy. Her pediatrician said to wean her from baby food and slowly introduce more table food. Zoe Kae still has no teeth and no signs of any teeth popping up but that doesn't slow her down when it comes to eating. She loves just about everything. Some of her favorites right now are plums, cheese, mandarin oranges and yogurt. She had some fresh figs today and wow she really liked it. Calvin loves figs so she is just like her daddy. Oh yeah, she liked tofu too....that is just like mommy!

Sippy Cup Saga

No Mommy....I don't want to hold my own sippy cup. You can't make me. I'm still a baby! Thank you Mommy! I was thirsty. I'm Zoe and I don't hold my bottle or my own sippy cup. I will just touch it and chew on the tip but I am not drinking it on my own!!

Playing the Piano

I think Zoe is musically gifted already. She's been playing the piano like a little pianist using her fingers instead of banging it with her hands! Zoe has long fingers like Daddy so she will be a good piano player. Zoe likes to turn the page in her little piano book.

Fun in the Sun

Zoe used her new pool mat today and had a blast! The pool mat has little holes around it where the water comes up like a sprinkler. Do you like my new bikini? I just had lunch so my tummy is really big. This is so much fun! Do you like my hat? Mommy put it on me to keep me in the shade. Mommy lathered me up with sunscreen but you know how she is about skin care.

Some Pictures Calvin took today

Look at her cute teethless smile. 9 months old and no signs of teeth yet! Zoe likes to try and copy our funny faces and sounds.

Zoe's life the last few weeks

"Pretty please give me my remote control back. I'd crawl over and get it from you but I'm not that mobile yet." "There she is with my remote banging it on my toy. It looks like a lot of fun." "Vera!!! Don't leave me behind. You know I can't crawl as fast as you!" Doesn't Zoe look so cute with her hair braided? Zoe likes to look at the pretty flowers. Just relaxing before her play date with Vera. Sitting pretty. I put Zoe in her bouncer like the good old times. She is so big her legs dangle. Zoe was using her friend Charlie as a pillow. This is when she was eating and eating and eating!! I couldn't believe how much food she was consuming. See how chubby she got? Zoe likes to touch our rug which sheds all over the place. If I'm trying to prevent her from touching something, then that is the one thing she will end up touching. This is Zoe's old playmat turned into a little tunnel. "Any song requests? I only know 4 notes." Zoe's first time looking at my bottle of nail polish up close. I want that nail polish! Standing tall. Little Miss Sunshine. Yellow looks good on her. This is how we practice crawling. Zoe will work hard to get my phone. See the determination! She just loves my phone. It's been a good tool to encourage her to crawl. My phone has been acting up lately but I haven't let Zoe drool on it for a few days so now it is working fine. Zoe wants a Blackberry too. Mommy's phone is so yummy. "Mommy...I don't want to watch Oprah anymore. I'm going to change the channel to Blues Clues." "Let's see... which button do I press to delete Mommy's taped Oprah shows and Daddy's UFO Hunters."

Catching up with Zoe

Zoe still loves her Around We Go Activity Center. She can go forwards and backwards in it. She can also go really fast like she is running around in circles. The dogs make sure to get out of her way when she is on the go. "Hi Everyone...did you miss me?" Zoe loves her little Sammy stuffed animal. This is what she sleeps with at night. She is so attached to him that she likes to hold onto him in the mornings. She gets upset when we take him away from her so we have to give her another toy and quickly take him away before she knows what's happened. I've tried giving her other stuffed animals but she always reaches for her Sammy doll. Zoe and Daddy on Fourth of July. MiMi got her the outfit and bow so she would be dressed for the day in red, white and blue. I think she was trying to give me a thumbs up. She's getting so tall that this 12 month outfit is getting too short on her. I wonder what percentile she will be at her 9 month checkup. She has gained a lot of weight and is getting so tall. Zoe really likes her zwieback toast but now that her gums are kind of sensitive she cries everytime she eats it. She wants me to hold her on my lap while she tries to eat it and cry at the same time. When I take it away from her she throws a fit. Needless to say, she does not get the zwieback toast anymore. She'll just have to wait until her gums are not so tender. Zoe loves to eat bananas in this little mesh teether. It makes such a mess and the mesh teether is really hard to clean. But she really enjoys it. I think she loves it so much she can probably eat a whole banana if I let her. This is Zoe's favorite spatula. She loves to chew on it. Well, I guess there isn't really anything that she doesn't like to chew on. Zoe's favorite item to play with is my phone! This is how I got her to crawl. She will crawl or I guess I should say drag her body across the floor to get my cell phone. She managed to get drool all over the phone and in it so I will be needing a new phone soon because it is not working right. Note to self....don't give baby phones! Zoe just catching up rays outside. This is when she was 7 months old so she doesn't look as chubby. Classic Zoe throwing a temper tantrum because she dropped her sippy cup and I would not pick it up. I had been picking it up for the 10th time and then I stopped. What a temper....she must take after her daddy! Hahaha!!! I'm just waiting for the day when she just throws herself across the mall when we are out in public and screams her head off. I am sure we will have one of those moments. See how cute she was before she dropped her sippy cup? Zoe with her spatula again. Mmmmm....this feels nice on my gums!
