Because we took the 3 youngest kids to DisneyWorld in December, we promised Mitch and Jason we would take just them somewhere for Spring Break. After much deliberation, we finally decided on Barcelona Spain because Mitch is learning Spanish, Carl knows Spanish and worked in Spain for 3 months a few years ago but never made it to Barcelona, and we could do it relatively cheaper than some of the other places that were proposed.
Before we left, Jason was somewhat dissapointed that this wasn't a "roller coaster" vacation with high thrills, but once we were there, he LOVED it just as much as the rest of us. We loved walking down the tiny streets of "Old Town" Barcelona. We got pretty good at spotting anything designed by Gaudi, were impressed by the way cars park in such tiny spaces, and made Mitch and Jason tired of seeing more "old churches". It's so fun to experience different foods and culture (we decided that everyone there is going to die from lung cancer of first or second hand smoke), the best part was just the great time we were able to spend together. It was so nice to have a week of no nagging, complaining, ... we all got along as friends and had a wonderful time together.
