A pink and purple toy stroller!! Kim was not impressed with the "girly" colors but that was the only color it came in and best of all, it was only $8.00. Jason absolutely loves it!! He puts his stuff bear, Midnight, in the stroller and pushes it around. Of course Jason does not know that it is purple and pink, nor does he care; however, his father thinks that I am crossing the line with this one. Oh well, Kim does not have to stay home with him all day and deal with the frustration of the big stroller. Kim made me promise that when company comes over that the stroller will be hidden. Sure honey....whatever you say!!

Today's Purchase
Jason loves pushing his umbrella stroller around in the apartment however, he gets very frustrated because he can't quite see over the top of it and he runs into things and can't maneuver the stroller like he wants. So, I had this great plan to buy him a toy shopping cart. Today was the day we made our purchase. We went to Target and they did not have a toy shopping cart, so we settled for the next best thing.

Recap of this past week
This week was very eventful. Kim and I celebrated our 4th wedding anniversary on Wednesday. We bought ourselves a Wii for our anniversary and spent the evening playing it! I have wanted a Wii for awhile now however, I had a fix in Idaho because my parents bought one for the family for Christmas; so anytime we wanted to play we only had to drive a short two miles to do so. Since we are cheap and do not have cable, we thought that the Wii would be a good evening (after Jason goes down) pastime. The Wii has been a big hit and on Friday night our friends Aaron, Sara and their little girl Lolabella came over and we played the Wii until 1:30 AM. It was a blast!!
We had plans to go to the zoo on Saturday morning before it got too hot and before there were too many people there however, because we were up so late on Friday night we didn't quite get out of bed as early as we wanted on Saturday. We pulled into the zoo parking lot about 10:45 am Saturday morning and there was no where to park. The zoo had to open their "additional parking" lot, which is about a mile from the zoo and you have to catch a bus from the parking lot to the zoo. That was a big turn off because we did not want to stand in the heat waiting for the bus to come and it was already around 85 degrees, so we decided to bag the zoo. We spent the rest of the day exploring the blocks surrounding the ASU campus. There were lots of little shops and restaurants. We had a good time walking around and I even found myself a new Mexican recipe book, which I am so excited to use!!

Once again, we spent the rest of the afternoon at the pool and then drove out to the Mesa temple last night. It is beautiful!! These pictures are courtesy of our friend Aaron. He is an incredible photographer.

A Nice Relaxing Weekend

Kim worked about 56 hours this past week and was exhausted by Friday afternoon so, we decided to just kickback and enjoy our weekend. We started the weekend off with a trip to the Diamondbacks game on Friday night. It was awesome!! Our seats were on the third deck but we still had a great time. Jason even made it to the top of the eighth inning. The Diamondbacks were up 9 to 1 when we left so we didn't miss too much action by leaving in the eighth inning. Conor Jackson (plays 1st base) had an incredible night. He had three triples, a double and two home runs!! Here are a couple pictures of us at the game.

We sat in section 302 and as we were walking in, this picture was posted on the wall. I thought is was pretty ironic!! I couldn't resist a picture by it! (For those of you who don't know, Brandon Lyon is Cody's brother-in-law and he is the Diamondback's closeout pitcher!)
Jason loved the game. He is a true fan already! When the crowd would start clapping and yelling, he joined in by clapping his hands and yelling as well. Everyone around us thought he was adorable!! Below is a picture of Jason and I with our Dbacks gear on!!

Chase field is so nice!! It is a open/close top stadium and it was fun to watch the planes go over during the game. As you can see from this picture, our seats were not the greatest, but they were only $15 and we had a great time!!On Saturday we went to the Asian Festival at Heritage Park. The festival was fun and we enjoyed a good authentic lunch. Heritage Park is a historical park with many old and beautiful buildings.

To top our day off, we went to Bass Pro Shop and spent the rest of the afternoon at the pool relaxing.
We went to church yesterday and the first counselor in the bishopric asked if he could speak to us. He pulled us into a room and asked us if we would be willing to teach Primary. Nothing like putting us to work on our second week!! We will be teaching the 5 and 6 year olds, which should be fun.I hear Jason waking up from his nap, so I guess this is all for this post.
Have a great day!!

Beautiful Arizona
Today was such a nice day! It was 78 degrees and beautiful. It has been much cooler these past two days. Monday it was 96 and Tuesday it was 97 but yesterday was only 73. I was loving the 96 and 97 degree weather however, I will take the 78 degree weather. Anything is better than Idaho weather!! I know all you Idahoans are thinking it would be nice to just get past 65 degrees.Today I finally took pictures of our apartment complex. So here they are....
This is the front of our complex. Notice Jason is not wearing any shoes....we can't find any sandals that fit his thick feet!! However, on Monday we were running errands and I felt so bad because it was hot and Jason had on long pants and socks and shoes. He was pretty miserable so I decided to check Target for some wannabe crocks. The only color they had in his size was red and I wasn't in love with them but figured they were better than what he was wearing. So I purchased them and when we got out to the car, they looked more pink than red. Needless to say Kim wasn't so impressed when he got home, but at least Jason has some sandals to wear to the pool.
This is our "front yard". It is so nice to look out the window and see green grass and green trees. It is a nice little area for Jason to play as well.

This is a picture of the security guard station. We live in a gated complex and the security guard is really nice. Even my mother can testify to that!! He told her practically his whole life story in a matter of a few minutes!!

This is the walk way to our apartment. It is so pretty and peaceful.
Two shots I could not resist. Jason loves to bathe in the big roman tub, as you can tell!!
Jason is so photogenic!! He loves to get his picture taken. Nice hair Jas!!
Well tomorrow is baseball Friday, so I should have more pictures to share this weekend. We are planning on going to an Asian Festival on Saturday, which means good food and good fun!!
Have a good Friday!! Love ya all!

We Made It!!
Well, we have arrived in sunny Arizona and we are loving it. The ride was long and Jason got very tired of his car seat. However, he was a trooper. He didn't complain too much except for the last leg of the trip. Once we left Flagstaff, AZ and headed towards Phoenix, he was tired and wanted out of his car seat. Eventually he gave up and fell asleep. When we first came off the freeway here in Phoenix and we were waiting to turn on to the road our apartment is on, I had a little sick feeling. All we could see was strip clubs, rundown grocery stores, and people from every background with their shirts off and covered in tattoos. However, as drove down the road and pulled into our apartment complex it seemed like a whole other world. Our complex is very nice and everyone we have met so far as been so friendly. The view from our front living room window is beautiful. We have a view of Camelback Mountian. We have a grass area and trees in front of our apartment and it is so nice to see green grass and beautiful trees. This area reminds Kim and I both of our missions...palm trees, warm humid weather, traffic, etc. We really love Phoenix and fall in love with it more each day as we are out and about. We live fairly close to shopping, restaurants, the airport and freeways. It makes it easy to get around.
Jason and I are having fun hanging out while Kim is at work. It is a little frustrating because we only have one car and Kim drives it to work everyday. So Jason and I are stuck in the complex. But we are having a good time swimming in the pool, playing on the play ground and just walking around exploring the complex grounds. It is a really beautiful place with lots of trees, bushes, grass, etc. We have met a new dog everyday we have been out and Jason loves it. Every time he sees a dog he points and yells "daa".
Kim had the opportunity to go to the Diamondbacks game on Saturday with my dad and brother Cody. They sat only 35 rows up behind home plate!! Kim had a great time and wants to go to as many games as we can. I find this ironic because Kim has never liked baseball. He was always a good sport to watch the World Series with me but has never loved the game. I on the other hand am a HUGE fan of baseball and have been much of my life. All I can say is that I am glad that he went because now he is a fan and wants to go to every game. In fact, this Friday night is Family Friday at Chase Field and we can get in the door for $15!! I am sure that the seats are not the greatest but we don't care. It should be fun. The Diamondbacks play the San Diego Padres.
I have only taken one picture since I have been here...sad I know. I promise to take more and post them. The picture below will keep you laughing until then. Today I was arranging my closet and I sat a tote with misc clothes in it out on the floor by our bed, close to where Jason was playing. I went back into our closet and was arranging our shoes and when I came out, this is what I found.
Notice what is around his neck....a fine piece of lingerie!! So funny. I can't wait to show Kim what we did today!!
Until next time....
