sunday cleans
darkening bubbles of coffee cup life
the additives of jam to my oats spreading,
the berries bleed
the bleach on my hand
eats across the soft of my jaw.
raised mauve flesh
flimsy under chemical
on sunday,
the paper lines sink, the mail halts, the parents rattle the kitchen,
metastasizing
wish it more alive
wish it sweeter
than regret joining lips
joins into green that loops itself
it quickens to the hum
hook in the stitch
a girl and
two brothers watch kung fu:
lines of relation
rejoice the fool,
gallons of strawberry jam on set
the colors of my sunday walks on the wrong side of the sidewalk, cow dog
and his wavering propensities,
my lover forgives
under moonlight
minted sweet tea of soft mist
august forsakes, september exists
the taste is on our tongues and bathing
by the beckoning of sleep, we push and crumple
he forgives me once more
what remains of summer rain————————
