Whoops – sorry! Wrong fandom!

Ahem!

Dear Pack:

I know a lot of folks have been very concerned that the new Alpha and Omega book isn't out yet. Heck, we don't even have a title or cover art, because it's so far behind!

The truth is, Patty isn't here. She hasn't been here for quite a long time, although she assures me that for her, it hasn't been long at all. Patty is in Underhill!

Patty was out feeding her horses last year and having a wonderful time talking to them and loving them up. Unbeknownst to her, Tilly had been keeping an eye on her for a while. Ever since Aiden opted to not come back to her, Tilly has been lonely. And who better to assuage a lonely entity than a Storyteller?

Tilly did have the foresight to leave a changeling in Patty’s place. I’ll admit, it’s a pretty good resemblance, but I don’t think it’s going to be quite good enough for the next book tour, so I’m in communication with Underhill (and Patty, too).

I've been doing my best to reason with Tilly - and boy howdy, is that an exercise in futility! Patty always told me that the fae and their ilk don't think like we do, and she was not kidding. There is no reasoning with those folks!

However, even though reasoning and logic did not get through to her, offering a bargain lit up her eyes! We have negotiated a price: in return for two things, Tilly will let Patty go free!

First, Patty must promise to give Tilly more "screen time" in the next book. Patty pretended reluctance, never telling Tilly she had already planned on that. Hah, she got you, Tilly!

Second, Patty must ghost write several books for Tilly. Since time flows much differently in Underhill than here, some of them have already appeared on Amazon! Several fans have already written to us to let us know there are travel guide books on Amazon with Patty’s name attached. Please do not be so foolish as to order them! They are not really by Patty, and you don't want to ever, ever barter with the fae or give them money! (Patty's publishers are working with Amazon to get those taken down, but Tilly never specified we couldn't do that!)

Patty is finishing up Tilly's final book, "A Human Dummy's Guide to Underhill." Since she has to let Patty go, she would like to encourage some other humans to venture into her home and provide her with snacks - I mean - entertainment. She is hungry...for company!

Do not give up hope! Knock on wood, we’ll get Patty back in time for the new book to be published and to go on a book tour! But just a word of advice – maybe check with me to make sure it really is Patty when you see us!
