The 4 year old....party

We rounded off Lincoln's birthday week with a Transformers-themed party for friends and family.

Lincoln and his school friend Lily watching a movie before his party officially starts.

Transformers cupcakes. They transform into happy feelings when you eat them.

The party: More than meets the eye

Lily was a great help to Lincoln in opening his presents.

In fact, she was so helpful, she even opened a couple of them all on her own. :)

MESS=FUN FUN FUN

I'm going to warn you right now that if you don't like messes, you should either close the browser right now or go view a commercial for Lysol.

Ok, you've been warned!

On Tuesday, the victim received a box of presents in the mail from the UT Jensen's (Jeppson and Willis included).

It all started out fairly normal with only minor packing peanut spillage

The presents were great and he was super excited about them. But the victim is a boy and as such is consequently attracted to anything that can be turned into an incredible mess. It started with him rolling on the floor in the already spilled peanuts. This was amusing and elicited many laughs from onlookers.

But suddenly a maniacal cackle escaped his lips as an idea struck his brain like a bolt of lightning! A bolt of lightning!

There really was nothing onlookers could do. It all happened so quickly they had no time to react other than to snap pictures.

WARNING: The following photos are extremely graphic. Please continue at your discretion.

This is the victim following the incident

Investigators are still trying to determine how a peanut ended up in the victim's ear.

Within moments, the victim shuddered violently on the floor amidst the debris and collapsed into a sudden coma. Authorities have finally determine the cause:

A packing peanut allergy

4th Birthday

If you give a boy a birthday, he'll probably do this:

And when you're done doing that, he'll probably ask you for a muffin.

And when he's done eating muffins he'll probably want to go to the zoo so he can hug a cement frog.

And when he's done with that, he'll probably want to sit in front of the giraffe area and make faces at the camera with his Dad and little brother.

But since that won't be enough silliness, he'll probably want to make silly faces with his mom too.

After making all those funny faces, he'll probably want to ride a shark.

But since the shark can't go on land, he'll ride a lion instead, and attack his dad with it.

He'll probably be hungry and REALLY fight taking a family picture, so you'll have to bribe him with jellybeans so he'll sort of smile for the camera.

You'll have to make sure the kitchen is all decorated so that he feels really powerful.

And you'll have to light some candles because it wouldn't be a good birthday without melted wax on your piece of cake.

And if you give him a birthday cake with cars on it, you should probably make sure he gets a Cars book as a present.

And while you're at it, you should probably also give him a camera so he can bribe himself with jellybeans to smile for a picture.

And if you have all these pictures at the end of the day, you will probably need to post them on his blog to remember his awesome 4th birthday!

The End

Lincoln's First Church Talk

Last Sunday, March 6th, Lincoln gave his first talk ever in church during Primary. Primary is the LDS church's organization for kids ages 3-12. Each Sunday, kids meet with others their age in class. They are taught gospel lessons and participate in singing, scripture reading, and other activities. Among those activities are the opportunity to give short talks to the rest of the primary.

The theme Lincoln was given was: Heavenly Father speaks to us through his prophets. We helped Lincoln prepare a short 2-3 minute talk based on a story in the Book of Mormon about a prophet named Lehi and a dream he had about the Tree of Life.

Here is Lincoln's talk:

Lehi was a prophet. In a dream Lehi saw a tree and an iron rod. The dream came from Heavenly Father. If people held to the rod, then they got to the tree and were happy

President Thomas S. Monson is our prophet today. If we do what he teaches us, then we will be happy too. In the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

Lincoln was a bit shy but did a great job giving his talk.
