Dear Bangkok,
I came here facing my greatest fear,
and you welcomed me like a son.
In your streets and temples,
I rediscovered my inner child.
I got lost in the old city of Ayutthaya,
and I braved the wild nature of the mountains in Chiang Mai,
near the border between China and Burma.
I encountered animals I had never seen before,
and discovered a bar in the woods full of cats and wonderful people.
Now Switzerland is calling me,
but know that I will return very soon,
to continue this adventure in Asia,
and to continue smiling like when, as a child,
I found a new path that led me to new adventures.
I will never forget your streets,
the Wat Pho school where I learned Thai massage from the country’s oldest masters,
or the delicious food that blew my mind.
Bangkok
I owe you so much,
thanks to you, I am now a real man.
I hope with all my heart to hug you again,
to experience you,
and to return soon,
because my heart aches knowing I have to leave you.
But I know that my master Buddha will bring me back here.
Thank you.
