dang computer

so my mom called tonight and told me that i needed to blog more. my sister-in-law, amanda, is showing me up. she's a much better blogger than i am. i still can't get my pics to download to my computer. right now i'm deleting pics as i upload them to my external hard drive. i'm hoping i just need more space on our computer. any suggestions on fixing my problem guys? does anyone else have problems with mcaffee? we use to have norton but switched and now it's doing this.

so i'm back to shifting through photobucket trying to find the pictures i never blogged about from hawaii.

i'll just say--dane and i stay up every night watching the olympics until 2 am. we rarely get to bed before midnight. i'm sure there are a lot of sleepy people at work and business owners are probably looking forward to the end of the olympics.

today was bray's first day of preschool. he was VERY excited. last year he went twice a week and they brought a show-and-tell item on both days. this year he goes three times a week and they only have show-and-tell on mondays. bray didn't believe me and snuck his new football. i saw it in his bag after school was finished and he just smirked and said--ok, you were right mommy. i wish i could download the pics from today but i'll post them as soon as i can get this working again. he had the biggest smile.

back to the pics... we try to see as much family as possible when we go to visit hawaii. you never have enough time to spend with everyone, as you would like. i didn't get to see my puna (great-grandmother) until the day before we left. she told me to make sure i come by earlier in my trip next time i come down. oops.

amber & buddy just moved into a new house in kapolei. they had their house warming party while we were there so we could see everyone. it's been sooo long since we've seen everyone from the BYU days. it's weird seeing everyone with all their kids. thanks amber. we had so much fun.

i think the favorite schedule was beach followed by shave ice at waiola's. the kids expected it when we left the beach.

they could each eat their very own. even ani.
one day the kim's took the kids and i to the humane society in town. they love going there. ani is usually deathly afraid of cats and dogs but sitting next to lauryn...she enjoyed it.

going slowly

i've been trying to upload recent pictures but my computer is giving me trouble. i downloaded a new anti-virus software when the other one expired. now my computer is constantly freezing everytime i try to download my pics. so i'm posting pictures i have on my photobucket account that i downloaded prior to all this anti-virus trouble.

on one of many beach days--we got together with some cousins and friends at the beach. we couldn't stay long but it was nice to have the kids play together.

Noah & Tasha's Wedding

part of our reason for flying down was noah & tasha's wedding. it was held at kualoa. very pretty. they had the ceremony by the water and the reception just above where they had the ceremony. they set up some big white tents and it turned out to be a beautiful night. we have only pictures of us. dane took pictures of the couple, but i can't find them.

Dinner with the Kangs

we went out to dinner with my dad's best friend & his family. we try to see them everytime we come down. we ate at a place in ala moana. i can't remember the name of the restuarant, but it was yummy.

i had a very awkward moment when i thought the guy they brought with them was a cousin. i guess i missed the whole introductions part. anyways, halfway through dinner i try to make conversation with chelsea asking her if she is still dating that boy (they had dated a really long time). i see her look to her cousin (so not her cousin!) and cover his ears and tell me that he is her boyfriend. well, all i could do was laugh and they kept teasing me all evening. i put partial blame on my dad. when i told him we were going to dinner with them, he asked me if the nephew was still living with them. since a young man had answered the phone, i assumed it was him. after i made my comment, dane looked at me as if i was daft. he said he could have told me that was her boyfriend because right before they said his name was kellen, they also said he was chelsea's boyfriend. man!

a fun day

thanks to a classmate of dane's parents, we were able to the kids on a boat ride around kaneohe bay. we went out to the sand bar where we let the kids swim & walk around. we saw some turtles there too. it was such a beautiful day. we also took the kids (on our laps) out on kayaks. we paddled out of the marina to a private dock and let the kids jump off into the ocean. very fun! we even got to try paddle boards. i guess it is all the rage nowadays. we would see a lot of people at ala moana doing paddle boards. it's actually pretty fun. we put the little kids on the front of the board and they loved it.

we only got pictures of the boat ride. we didn't think to take our camera on the kayaks.

back at home

coming home was a mess. our first flight was canceled after being on the plane for an hour and a half. it was just the kids and i right around their bedtime. they were not happy and neither was i. our co-pilot got food poisoning and they rushed him away in an ambulance. i think it was all for show. kinda looks lame if they say the co-pilot had to go home because his tummy was sore.

they told me the direct flight the next night was full but i had to get back for a wedding on saturday. after telling some girl in india i had to be on that flight, miraculously, there were two seats for us. we had the paramedics board our flight again when we landed in utah. some guy had some medical problems. the flight attendant had to help me off the flight because bray was screaming. dane thought it was funny only because he didn't have to walk his screaming child down the walkway and through the airport yelling "take me back, i want to go back" and it didn't help that daddy got to stay in hawaii a little longer.

dane didn't have an easy time coming back either. he missed his flight and had to stay in las vegas for 7 hours until the next available flight.

this was probably one of my favorite trips to hawaii. maybe because the kids are getting older and we can do more things with them. thanks to our family...we had a fantastic time with all of you. the kids miss you all very much!

i have so many pictures that i have to sift through. i'll post them randomly...i'm too tired to do anything else now that we are home. we'll just be kickin it at home, blogging...until bray starts preschool next week. he is very excited.
