Last of 2010!

Dane had to work the week after Christmas but we still had as much fun as possible. We tried to spend time with the Owan's before they left.

We hit up the Kangaroo Zoo one day. The kids were so happy.

Our first attempt to see Tangled was a bust. It was sold out and we ended up watching Megamind, which the kids really liked.

My parents took the kids that night so Dane and I could go on a date. The next day I was kid-less at my doctor's appointment and also did a session at the temple. It was so great to have some alone time. We ended up having date night #2 when it snowed all day and my parents ended up keeping the kids another night. We met up for lunch the following day at L&L's. It was the Owan's last day and we headed over to spend time at the house. We all went to Chuck e Cheese and then headed to Burger Supreme for dinner. Yum! We said our goodbyes since they were leaving the next morning.

New Year's Eve day we tried going to Tangled again and it was sold out AGAIN. We bought tickets for a later show, had lunch at Olive Garden, and this time my parents joined us for the movie. Ani was soooo HAPPY. She wanted to see that movie for so long. We realized we needed papa for Mika to stay seated the whole movie.

We had the kids take naps and had a late dinner at Texas Roadhouse. We came home to play our new Wii game and stopped to drink martinelli's and bring in the new year at midnight. It was definitely the quietest New Year's ever, but it was still nice. It's all about being with family.

December 18th

I'm trying to finish all my blogs as this year wraps up tomorrow. I can't believe it is New Year's Eve!

Our young, handsome Ka'i boy got married at the Oquirrh Mountain temple in the morning. It was a frigid and windy day! Very cold. Ka'i and Sadie looked so happy and very much in love. We were glad to be a part of it.

Dane had students in town for work and was busy playing host for them. After the sealing he headed up to park city. They went to the olympic park. He said it was pretty cool.

After the kids took a quick nap, we went to help set-up and decorate for the reception. It was the only part of the reception we were able to see. As soon as it started we headed to Dane's work party. He had to present some stuff and it ended up taking a little longer than we thought. We headed back to find the reception pretty much cleaned up. Thanks Mom and Dad for keeping the kids with you.

At the work party. We sat by Adam and Charmay. Made the night much more enjoyable! Dane almost won the grand prize too. He came in fourth place. Too bad.

Christmas Post

Not only do you get a very long post, you get some EXTRA large pictures. I think I changed the setting when I uploaded these pictures. I can't figure out how to change the size without having to redo the whole post, which I am not going to do. So you get some extra large pictures. Merry Christmas!

Bray had a christmas program that we were able to attend. He really loves to sing. He had the biggest smile when he saw us sitting there and did such a good job. One of the songs they sang was the one from Polar Express. I think it is his favorite song to sing.

We went with my family to Cabela's one day while we were getting new tires for the car. We had lunch at the cafe and I ordered two meals for myself. Not because I was hungry, just because I forgot I had ordered one for myself already. It happens a lot lately.

Once Christmas vacation started we watched A LOT of movies. We've had a lot of popcorn and hot chocolate nights. I think on this particular night we watched How the Grinch Stole Christmas. One of Bray's favorites since his class last year acted out this movie.

Dane had Christmas Eve day off and we took advantage. Ani had been asking all week to go to the dinosaur museum. It wasn't busy at all and the kids had a blast, as always. Mika got a little scared at times.

The kids dragged her through the cave...

Mika, so much like her brother, wouldn't touch the sand or water. She found a dinosaur and had it hopping around the edges the entire time the other two played.

For Christmas Eve dinner we met all the families at a church in Orem. The kids always look forward to seeing everyone. We just have such a fun group.

We got home around 11 pm and the kids quickly got in their pajamas and brushed their teeth. They were looking forward to opening their smallest gift.

Ani's smallest was from Hawaii. A dress and matching flower from my cousin's daughter Emma. Thank you!

We put out the cookies and milk for Santa and two of the children fell fast asleep. Our little Ani girl would sit up in her bed every time we peeked in her room. I was afraid I was going to fall asleep before her. Luckily around one a.m., she was out. This was the first year I was on top of things. We didn't have to do anything. We put everything out and I went to bed.

Before Bray went to sleep he told me he was grateful for his daddy that works so very hard for us. I had to write that down. Dane has been pretty busy with work these last couple of months. I thought it was sweet that Bray realized how much it was for us.

Bray was the first up Christmas morning. He came down for a peek before coming into our room around 9. We had to be at my parent's house by eleven, so we got the girls up and quickly sorted the gifts.

Mika wasn't quite up yet...

Bray was cute this year. He didn't really want anything big. He was really into board games and wanted a couple wii/ds games. I made the mistake of letting my mom buy the Bop it Bounce. He wondered why Santa didn't bring the one gift he asked for. Oops. He was so happy with every gift. It was so cute.
Photobucket

Bray wrote notes to us for Christmas presents. He was so happy for us to read them. I loved it.
Photobucket

Ani might have been a little tired. She took a longer time to get into the swing of things.
Photobucket

Mika loved all her dolls. She was really into dolls and purses/bags.
Photobucket

We went to my parent's house for Brunch and to exchange gifts. Yummy cinnamon rolls and breakfast casserole. My mom always goes crazy for the kids. It's their grandparent right to spoil them, I guess. Plus, we got a little spoiled too.

All the kids got cute new outfits
Photobucket

Jo's fly fishing reel hard case. My dad tried to disguise it by taping a toilet paper roll to the top for a handle and two dust pans on the bottom. Clever.

Bray asked for the bop it AND bop it bounce

After gifts...we played
Photobucket

ani got a blendy pens set. bray colored this picture. thought it looked pretty nice.
Photobucket

We then played some donkey kong and just dance 2 on the wii. I'd post the video but dane MISTAKINGLY got me in it. No one wants to see that.
Photobucket

For dinner my parents made us prime rib and crab legs. YUMMY! Amanda made a delicious chips and dip and we made the dessert. Chocolate Haupia Pie. Turned out pretty good. (Thanks for the recipe, Malia!)

We loved video chatting with our family in Hawaii. We really miss you guys! Hope everyone had a fantastic Christmas with their loved ones.
