End of the school year

Ani is in her last week of preschool. Bray is in his second to last week of 1st grade. Summer is approaching and today it is actually sunny outside. It's a nice change from all the rain we've been receiving.

Bray came home with some schoolwork from the beginning of the year. I wanted to document them and took pictures.

Bray is really into writing us cute notes and letters. I love it.

I wrote him a note back and left it under his pillow. He's so funny.

At the beginning of May we were able to play with the Laings. Bray misses Kaimani so much.

The kids can't wait for summer. They ask to swim in our jetted tub almost every day.

Mika was having a hard time sleeping in her big bed again. Daddy decided he liked snuggling with her at night and expected it every night. She was very upset when he stopped. We had to get her used to sleeping by herself again. Thanks, Daddy.

Ani recently received her kindergarten shots. Yes, she will be going into kindergarten in the fall. Can't believe it. Her brother was trying to be helpful when he told her that the shots in her arm were best (he thought they were going to give her shots in the arm). He made her believe shots in the legs were horrible. Well... she got the shots in her legs. She freaked out, Mika started to freak out, and then the baby started screaming. I think we scared all the kindergarten kids waiting their turn.

Kiele is now three months. She is a smiley, happy baby. It's amazing how different she is from a month ago. She sleeps at night, takes naps, and eats well. She has become such a good baby. Her hair is pretty crazy though. Not sure what to do with it.

I think I am more excited for summer than the kids. Although they are pretty excited too. Playing outside all day. Swimming and camping. We are so ready!

Ani's Disneyland Trip

Ani has been dreaming about Disneyland for many months now. We promised her during soccer season that we would take her but with being pregnant and now the new baby, it looked like it might not happen for awhile. Well, one day I found our companion ticket and realized it was expiring at the end of this month. I decided if Dane was cool with it, I was going to finally take her.

On Thursday night, Dane dropped us off at the airport.

I let her choose a treat in the gift shop even though we had a bag of treats in her bag.

We flew into SNA aiport where my cousin, Kevin, picked us up. We let the kids play a little before heading to bed. The next day Kevin, Kayla, Ani, and I got ready for our day at Disneyland. Ani had the BIGGEST smile on her face all morning.

Our first ride was the peter pan ride. Next, we decided to get the princesses done with and it was probably the longest line of the day.

The lines weren't too bad that day. We were lucky. Ani loved having Kayla with her at Disneyland.

We measured Ani at home (twice!) and thought for sure she was at least 40 inches. Kevin suggested we ride the Pirates of the Caribbean ride because there is a slight drop at the beginning. We wanted to see if she would like the bigger rollercoasters. She thought it was so fun and we headed over to the Matterhorn. She LOVED it. It was her favorite ride. We went to Thunder Mountain next and Ani was about 1/2 an inch too short. She was so sad. We tried Space Mountain too and no luck. They wouldn't let her on. She enjoyed the other rides but nothing compared to Matterhorn.

Ani didn't LOVE standing in line to see the characters. She's too impatient. She wanted to ride the rides. They even got out of line to see Tangled since there was an hour and a half wait and she loves the movie tangled. After we saw Mickey, she said she was done seeing characters.

She loved driving... She kept telling me how great a driver she is.

We were there pretty much when it opened around 9 am and we stayed until almost midnight. The fireworks show was fantastic. It was almost canceled because of wind, but I am so glad they didn't. We saw Steve Wonder a couple of times. Our only celebrity siting. We enjoyed Churro's and Cotton Candy. We ended the night with her favorite ride, the Matterhorn. I let her choose one toy and she chose a Tangled Doll. The doll constantly has some nappy hair! She loves it though. Both girls fell asleep pretty quickly on the ride home.

She was toast!

We slept in a little on Saturday morning. Since we were so tired the night before, we left without buying the other kids a gift. We first went to the mall to check out the Disney Store but ended up leaving to go back to Downtown Disney. Before we left the mall, we let the girls ride on the carousel.

Photobucket

Their stuff is definitely overpriced but we couldn't come home without gifts from Disneyland. We needed to make up for leaving them behind.
Photobucket

We had some yummy saimin for lunch. We were starving and it was so busy. The wait was long but worth it.
Photobucket

We went to Balboa and walked the pier, watching everyone fish.
Photobucket

Waited in line at this bakery. I brought back some goodies from here for my family. When we got together for Sunday dinner we ate everything! It was sooo good.
Photobucket

For dessert we went to Pinkberry. It was my first time. I was in love with the coconut yogurt. So yummy.

We were pretty tired that night and headed home after dessert. We let the girls watch a movie and the adults got to relax.

Our flight home was on Sunday morning. On the flight, Ani kept asking if we could go back to visit. I sure hope so! Thank you Tam and Kevin for everything. It was such a fun trip!

We came home to this...

I think we were missed. Dane said the baby did great. She slept 12-13 hours every night in her crib. I was hoping she gave him a little of a hard time so he would think I am pretty amazing. Guess not.

Gave the kids their gifts. Bray loved the star wars toy.

That night we had dinner with my family. It was when we devoured all the yummy treats I stood in line for and the kids got a ride from papa.

Even though I missed the other munchkins, it was so great to spend time with just Ani. I loved seeing her finally get to enjoy Disneyland.

My Mother's Day and Bday Post!

The fun all started on Friday at Ani's Mother's Day preschool program. It was such a nice day. Ani looked so pretty and she did so much better singing this time around. All of a sudden she seems so grown-up!

A couple hours later I was dropping off the kids at Jo's place. Thanks Amanda and Jo for watching ALL the kids for me. Nancy and I headed up to the outlets in Park City. Our neighborhood does a park city night every year. This year they only did shopping and dinner instead of staying over. I didn't find too many things, but I did come home with some cute shoes! We were feeling sushi instead of Ruby Tuesday and headed to Salt Lake with some other girls from our ward. It was a WAY better choice!

Saturday night Dane and I went out for Mother's Day/Bday. Thank you Kamoe's for watching our kiddies. We had dinner at Iggy's and went to see Fast Five. I liked it. I thought it was better than the last couple, plus the cast was all together. Although, it was probably the skankiest one of them all.

I love Mother's Day because I get to be really lazy and not feel guilty! I think my favorite gift was from Bray. He gave me a top ten list of the things he loves about me. I need to find it again and take a picture. It was so cute. Church was great, followed by chocolate strawberries in bed with my little family. Thank you INGS for sending me one of my favorite treats!! We all enjoyed it.

That evening the men made us a delicious dinner at my parent's house. Steak and Shrimp. Yummy! Jordan made a chantilly cake and Dane bought cheesecake. It was all so good. I gave in to the sweets.

My birthday was on Monday. The kids were so sweet to me all day. That evening we went to good earth for dinner. I am trying to eat healthy and that is the place I chose last minute. I actually wanted to stay home and make myself a healthy meal, but decided that sounded lame. After dinner we got the new Chronicles of Narnia from redbox. It was the perfect end to my birthday. Snuggled up with my kids watching a movie.
