Many Congratulations to Thank God It's Friday for reaching 100 challenges!!! My 4x4 was created by firstly backing my card with a piece out of an old book. I then used Color Wash (lettuce). Altered Mirror

I bought this mirror at Ikea for 99 pence!!!It was ripe for altering. I used TSS tools and metal to cover the chipboard pieces I had glued to the frame. I finished it off by using alcohol inks and then wiping it off the lettering with blending solution.

The mirror part was covered for the photo

I really like the finished result

Tag Book

I made this little tag book using the centres of kitchen rolls - I coloured them with Adirondack Color wash - butterscotch. I used metal and my TSS tools to put the word on the front.

Lotstodo Challenge - Paper

I cut lots of 1 inch squares from yesterdays newspaper and glued them to my canvas covering all the sides too. I then inked all over - I followed this by using a contrasting ink through sequin waste. I did some stamping on to tissue and added these. I sanded and covered some slide mounts with Faber granite paint and when dry highlighted the cracks with black ink - I used these frames to attach my acetate images (Crafty Individuals) to my canvas. I finished the whole thing off with a piece from a broken piece of jewellery which I had distressed with paints. This is my entry for the Lotstodo Challenge this week.

Altered Spatula

FRONT

BACK

This is my altered spatula for a swap on the Lotstodo Forum being hosted by Ang

I stamped my images with Stazon and then using my burning tool burnt around the outlines. I then coloured them with dye inks and finished off with 2 coats of ageing varnish. It wouldn't fit in to my cropodile to make a hole so I used my japanese hole punch - I then made my hanger with wire and beads

Peeled Paint Magazine Rack

These are a couple of the Magazine Racks I've altered.

If you'd like to know how I did them pop over to the Technique Blog - where there is a full explanation

Hand Made Book

A little book I made yesterday - I stripped the front paper off some corrugated cardboard then inked it with autumny colours. I put on my name plate and then cut some bamboo skewers to fit in all the grooves - leaving the middle 4 for a spine. I added some papers to the inside with a paper fastener and elastic band. I then finished off by making my closure with a pebble I'd found in the garden and some raffia.

I got this idea from a book I'd got out of the library "Sticks and Stones" by Mary Maguire

This is my entry for the Simon Says challenge

I too used a piece from a cradboard box to create my Gothic Arch. I tore some of the paper off and used dabbers to create my background. I then added a piece of torn paper and some wire mesh. I covered my jigsaw piece with dabbers and wound wire round it. I then finished off by adding a little fan and some beads that I had threaded through some wire.
