Christmas Hanging

I did a lot of collecting in the park for the things to make these hangings - they were all cleaned, drilled and then sponged with watered down gesso

The only things I bought were the ribbons, beads and twine

The hangings have loops on each end so could be used to drape mirrors or mantles

I am entering in the following brilliant challenges

That Craft Place - Anything goes

Our Creative Corner - Topsy Turvy - The hanging will go either way up

Floral Arrangement

Hi _ I've been so busy preparing and making things for our local Church Christmas Fayre

Journal 52 Comfort Zone

I covered the page with white Gesso and then Gelatos in three shades of blue and blended with baby wipe.

I then placed a floral stencil over the top and took the blue out with a baby wipe leaving the Gesso showing

I used heat gun to dry and then did lots of stamping that depicts my comfort zone using Black Archival

Things with wings

At Vintage Journey this month Anne challenged us to use "Things with Wings" on our project and, of course, using Tim Holtz products or techniques

I used lots of Tim's products creating my hanging

I started by making a crackle background

I then put texture paste through a Tim Holt stencil and when dry I  coloured with Distress Pens

I cut  and embossed the large butterfly using some card stock that I had previously created with the shaving foam technique using re inkers. I also cut a black butterfly to place at the back of it

The small butterflies were cut and inked with Distress Pens

I finished the piece by adding remnant rubs and Small Talk words

Journal 52 Perspective

I created the background by putting Elmers glue here and there letting it streak around the page. When it was dry I added Brusho and water being careful to have the colour where I wanted

The lines were added and then I added the silhouettes using a stencil and Black Soot Distress Ink

I computer generated the wording , cut inked and added

Altered trunk

I started with a wooden chest that I bought a while ago.

I like the way it turned out although I wasn't sure when I started which way it
would go

I covered the box twice with crumpled tissue using Mod Podge after taking off the handles and clasp

This is a close up of the texture it created

I let it dry overnight and then added colour with Distress Sprays Tea Dye and Rusty Hinge

I used the Old Jalopy Die, grungeboard and my Vagabond for the main image. I inked with Distress inks Black Soot and Forest Moss, the small parts were coloured with Rusty Hinge Distress Pen I cut some photo's from my stash and added them behind the windows. I finished off the car with Brads for the wheel trims I added the car to the top with silicone

I put Texture Paste through Stencil on spare card stock and when dry coloured with the same colour sprays. This was then added to the corners

I added some pieces from Tim's Ephemera pack and some remnant Rubs

I die cut the Adventure Thinlets and then mounted them on to contrasting paper before adding them

I put the fastener and handles back on and added a  Type Charm with a piece of old tape measure

I am entering this piece in the following Challenges

Vintage Journey - Destination using Tim Holtz Techniques/products

Country View Challenge - On your travels
