Compendium of Curiosites

Over at Compendium of Curiosities we were challenged to follow the technique on Page 44 of the third book in the series I decided to do a tag using this fab technique. I then put the tag through my big shot in an embossing folder before adding die cuts and  bits and pieces

The challenge is sponsored by Inspiration Emporium and is randomly drawn

As always the Curiosity Crew will choose someone to receive a wonderful prize of Tim's products donated by Tim and Mario

Its worth a pop over to see the wonderful work of the crew and read all about the challenge

May Tag

I absolutely love Tims tag this month

This is my version

Take a look at the technique HERE

Vintage

I covered some mount board with various materials and then added some RikRak and fancy edging. I then added some grunge board that I had put through my big shot with an embossing folder and inked. I stitched my main image  on to another piece of material which I frayed. I finished off by adding the inked and stamped scroll  and then attached some lace as a hanger and to the bottom as a border.

The Happy Couple

I started off by covering some mountboard with crackle paste

I then added some bronze distress paint

I let that dry and then added Peacock Feathers distress paint and lightly rubbed it off to reveal the bronze in the cracks

I took some corrugated cardboard and covered that with Peacock Feathers and added some textre paste through a stencil - I inked the music paper and lace with Distress Ink and added all the pieces

I added the floral spray from some pergamano pieces I had done a while ago

This is my entry for the following brilliant challenges

Sketch Book

I wanted a new sketch book to take on my holidays so bought a plain black one and set about altering it

I covered it in gesso

And made some marks with my brush to create some texture

I added Distress Sprays and encouraged them to run

I then added some texture paste through a stencil

I added Gold Rub n Buff when the paste was dry

I finished off by adding some inking through sequin waste and stamping with "pen" stamps

I Added the metal letters to the front and the Alpha letters to the back

The Chipboard Butterfly was inked and then clear embossed before adding the beads

This is my entry for the Mixed Media Mojo Challenge Tic Tac Toe - I used the middle row Gesso Stencils and Chipboard

The Vintage Journey Challenge - Spring Colours Using Tim Holtz Products or Techniques - I used Distress Sprays, Texture paste, Distress Ink , and Alpha Letters
