Corrinne's Musings"
And when the massage is done, you're just overcomewith a sense of gratefulness, because under all our make-up,our fancy schmanzy clothes, under all the guises of businessmen and women, of tyrannical monarchs, of powerful politicians,of be-spectacled college professors, of muscular bodybuildersand chauvanistic men or raging feminists....underall the masks and pretences that we wear...we're all beating hearts, blood and flesh...and sometimes, all we need to melt our armours away,is a simple touch that shows someone cares."
I've not been an avid fan of Corrinne May though I really liked the lyrics of some songs when I borrowed it from my sister. But somehow, chancing upon her website and through her musings and photos, I realise she is a very talented woman who is down-to-earth, passionate about changing and touching lives one at a time, cherishes family ties etc. There's just something about her that draws people...like me. Oh yes, did I mention she's a really good writer as well?! (I mean, of course(!), since she's a singer-songwriter.) Her introspective-ness, the strong beliefs that she has...
A cool Singaporean living overseas (Los Angeles), she has the best of both worlds.
Literally.
[She suddenly reminded me of Nichole Nordeman.]Anyway I hope to get the new album just released soon. It's called Beautiful Seed. Not sure if it's selling yet though. Check
her out!
