This is Nate receiving his graduation certificate from his teacher, Mrs. Cummins. She was amazing! I will definitely miss her as Nate's teacher and I know Nate will miss her, too. We are looking forward to first grade, though, and from what we hear the first grade teacher he has is going to be just as amazing.
Nate was so lucky to have so many good friends his kindergarten year. He came home everyday asking to invite a new friend over. Here he is with his friends Johnny and Lance.
Of course Scarlett was there and she wanted in on the celebrations with Nate.
Nate's best friend this year was Sevy. She was adorable and the two of them got along so well. They were teased all the time about being girlfriend and boyfriend. Nate would always tell me he wouldn't have a girlfriend until he was 31. Despite all the teasing they were inseparable. It was difficult to say goodbye to her because she was moving away. I can't believe how fast the school year and summer flew by this past year. Nate starts first grade in two days! It's great to see him growing and learning. He loves school and I hope that stays that way. We love the school he attends and will be sad to leave it after this year. We are looking forward to a great last year here in Houston.
