Learning Lessons The Hard Way!
I Have just returned from teaching my kids what I hope will be a good lesson learned. Ryan needed to go shopping for some furniture today for work. He asked the kids and I to go with him and help pick it out. Well while we were there the girls decided they were going to stop listening and run off. Well in the process of doing so they broke the glass in a piece of furniture. We talked to the company and they were going to let us know the price to replace the piece. We then returned home where the girls got their piggy banks. We returned to the store where the girls apologized and asked to pay for the glass. They returned home with empty banks. Now some may think I am being mean, but I realty want my kids to learn resposibiliy. I do actually have all the money from their banks in a safe place and I paid for the glass, they just don't know that. I hope that they learned something. They did tell me they felt like Heavenly Father was happy about the choice they made to pay for what they broke. Man teaching lessons like this is hard for me and them. ;)

Trip to Cannon Beach
Ryan had some meeting in Cannon Beach last week. We decided that it would be the perfect opportunity for the two of us to get away. My parents and my wonderful sister were kind enough to take the kids for us. The kids were actualy gone for 9 days, which was a great break! I missed them like crazy, but it is great to feal refreshed!
Yep that is a flatscreen in the bathroom!
When Ryan was done with meetings we walked along the beach together! That night we had a wonderful dinner with his coworkers!

It was great to be able to walk right to the haystack rock while the tide was down.
We picked the kids up in Twin on Sunday! They were so excited to see us, and we had missed them and were just as excited to see them!
Ryland was pretty excited to get sunglasses and his own postcard.

The resort that Ryans work had us stay at was incredible! We walked out of the room and right onto this gorgeous beach! We were right by the haystach rock! It was beautiful! They had a great campfire to roast marshmallowson the first night. It was great to get to know all the people that Ryan works with! Ryan had meeting throughout the day, so I spent alot of time relaxing and walking the beach!

Reagan, yelling at me because he didn't want his picture taken! Poor kid!
The kids had a great time at Grandma and Papa's house. The got to play, ride bikes, ride horses, and play with their cousins. The only time there was a problem was when their cousin Jace recruted Ryland to help him break windows in Papas garage by throwing rocks threw them! Ooops Sorry mom!
