Here i come, BANGKOK!
see you guys in a few days' time!

Wednesday, July 23

hello everyone.
sorry for the infrequent posts.
i've been rather occupied this few days.

firstly, because our dearest layleng is back in singapore!
yeah, so my free time is pretty much occupied with meeting up with truckloads of my buddy buddys.
soooo, last sunday vicky, layleng and me headed over to dempsey for drinks and ice creams.
it's been really uber long since we last met up cause everyone's been so busy pathing their future.

secondly, i've joined a few marathons this coming august, with my ODAC junior, sharon.
first up is runNUS on the 17th followed by Army Half Marathon on the 24th and most importantly, Nike Human Race on the 31st!
hahahahaa.
and yes, i have committed myself to very very intensive training schedule, both in camp and after work.
and not to mention the nike training runs every sunday.
i'm starting to love my lifestyle, like finally.
i'm so looking forward to standard chartered marathon this december.

thirdly, i'm playing with my new toy - my new nike+ sportsband.
i swear it's damnnnnn coool and it's pretty worth for the price.
seriously, it motivates me to improve for every single run.
and the good news is, i think i'm improving at quite a fast rate.

work has still been mundane and daunting.
mainly because my superior expects a lot from me.
this isn't a very comforting thing cause it only spells more saikangs for me to do everday.
and not to mention, being under more unnecessary responsibilities.
i'm still in a dilemma whether i should upgrade my pes status before my medical review in december.
that would mean thati would most likely go back to combat/support units.
it's not bad cause i'm realllly able to gain something out of it, i guess.

alright, i'm going to snooze.
i'm going to bangkok next week from the 29th to 31st july.
i'm so so so gonna enjoy myself.

Thursday, July 17

true buddy buddy good friends tell you off so that you learn.
but definitely not telling you off to put you down in any single way.
sorry but egoism may have seem to block out my mental consciousness.
but, whatever the comments, it doesn't affects me.
it just shows that how defensive and how conservative and selfish you are with your words.

Wednesday, July 9

damn it.
seriously, i mean, damn it.

my econs failed me this time.
in the previous post, i talked about opportunity costs and inflation.
and most importantly, increasing wages to ease the negative effects of inflation.
sorry, i'm so damn wrong.

sorry, but increasing wages fuels further inflation.
when productivity and efficiency remains relatively constant, increase in wages is not justifiable!
firstly, assuming the lowering in import expenditure in other countries due to worldwide inflation, and singapore's import expenditure remains relatively higher compared to others, singapore's exchange rate weakens.
thus, causing import prices to become more expensive, fueling inflation.
secondly, the firms increases the cost of their goods to protect profit margins due to the increase in wages.
thirdly, increasing wages puts off firms from operating in singapore.
other than the ones mentioned above, there are still many many more reasons.
inflation inflation inflation.
when's the global thunderstorm going to subside?

i think it has come to a time whereby greed is taking its toll on us, the human race.
look, the world is changing, not for the good but for the darker side.
just look at what's in the headlines in the past few years.
'oil prices hits a record high of US$140 per barrel', 'heatwaves loom as wildfire rages across california' and the list goes on, till the cows come home.
and today, 'G8 leaders tussle on climate'.

no one gave any of us in the world the right to own the earth's resources, not even Mother Nature.
i'm sorry but no one did give any one any permission to exploit the use of these resources and depriving their other counterparts of them.
regarding the oil issue, i believe greed is the ultimate evil behind it.
greed for more oil by the 'dragon of the east'.
and greed for money by the oil producing countries and the cartel that controls majority of the oil supplies.

sorry, i shall stop here.
my eyes are closing and those toothpicks cant hold my eyelids up any longer.
shall share my views on this issue again some time.
and layleng, please do something to save the earth. (:
