Hayden and Reese's photo shoot

Our first professional photos of Reese. She slept through the whole thing which was probably a blessing.

A few weeks ago we had a friend of ours, Rachel, come to our house and do a little photo shoot of the kids together while Reese was still sleepy and cooperative.

Things have changed a little since then. We did get some very cute shots of them together and Hayden showing off how much he loves his little sister.

Baby Besties

Reese met her pre-arranged best friend yesterday. We had a play date at our friend Lesley's house with several of Hayden and Reese's friends. This is Reese and Caroline gossiping about all of the latest news (clearly very into each other already). Caroline is exactly one week older than Reese and her mom (my friend Jaime) and I have already decided they have to be best friends!

Hayden and his friends get ready to eat lunch after a full morning of running around outside and emptying Drew's sand box.

This is pretty much the extent of the girls playing together. Both babies love their beauty sleep!

This is Lady's man Reece Yost (a.k.a. "Boy Reece"). He is 6 months old and clearly a stud in the making.

Reese is 2 weeks old

We had our two week visit at the doctor yesterday and here are Reese's stats:

Weight: 8 lbs. 2 oz. - she gained 11 oz. in 5 days
Height: 21 inches

Everything checked out just fine and she definitely is growing!

Josh left for a hunting trip in Kansas this week on business (wink wink). Nana came to stay for the night to help hold down the fort. Josh strongly disagrees with putting bows in Reese's hair....so we had a liitle fun while he was gone.

Reese was born Monday November 3, 2008 at 8:45 am. She is a beautiful healthy baby girl that weighed in at 7 lbs. and 9 oz. She has a gorgeous head FULL of jet black hair. We are so blessed to have her here safely and we can't wait for everybody to meet her!

Baby Shower

We were s0 blessed to be given the most amazing baby shower for Reese! We had such an awesome turnout. I was completely blown away by the number 0f people that came to celebrate with us! Reese is so lucky that so many people are so excited to meet her!!

Everything from the food and decorations to the precious gifts and guests were unbelievable!

Big Brother Hayden

We had Hayden's pictures made a few weeks ago before Reese arrives and he never has pictures by himself. These are his 4-year old pictures that we took down by the Round Rock. There was some serious bribery involved to get him to be still.

Hayden plays t-ball

Hayden started 4-year old t-ball this fall. It is just about the cutest and most hilarious thing that you have ever seen!! He is so proud of his team, the "Rock Hounds", and even more proud of all the home runs that he has had this season.

Countdown to Reese

We are scheduled to check in to the hospital this Sunday, Nov. 2nd, to be induced. We are praying for a safe delivery and a smooth transition for big brother Hayden! W

e can't wait to bring our precious baby girl home!!
